This fabulously soulful studio apartment won us over the minute we crossed the threshold. It feels fresh and modern inside, packed with character, and has a delightful jungle garden. We love the reclaimed wood sliding doors that separate the calming bedroom from the rest of the living space. The creative, self-build spirit of the doors continues in the shared outdoor space, with its use of corrugated steel panels to divide the area, homemade garden furniture and even an artist studio caravan. Exploring the neighbourhood on foot couldn't be easier – it's a mere fifteen-minute amble to the beach and even closer to Abbott Kinney Boulevard, with all its hip shops and eateries, while there are bikes for you to explore further. So, while it's true that Venice is undergoing a bit of a transformation, your hosts are striving to keep Venice weird! *The owners live upstairs*The garden is shared with three other units*While you don't necessarily ...

Like something out of a Bond movie, this home on a hillside is the height of luxury, with a home cinema setup, a hot tub and pool, floor-to-ceiling windows, even a rowing machine and a popcorn machine. A dream bachelor pad, there's a glamorous style to everything from the red sofas and glitzy light fitting in the living room to the black-painted bathroom and the outdoor furniture. Speaking of the terrace, this home has plenty of scope to enjoy the California sunshine, with doors opening to a vast outdoor space with unbeatable views all the way to Downtown LA, Century City and – on a clear day – the ocean. There's a fabulous pool and at night you can swim alongside the glittering city lights while someone lights up the fire pit and grills an evening meal on the impressive barbecue. Location-wise, it doesn't get much better. In a great neighbourhood, you're just a ten-minute drive from Hollywood. *You'll need to get some parking permits,...

This home has an unusual layout – two self-contained flats, one on top of the other. While this might not work for every group, it’s especially well-suited to two families who want to stay together while remaining conscious of privacy, or groups of friends who don’t mind the bit of space. The home has a lovely patio with a dining area and lawn that can accommodate the whole group for a barbecue with evenings drinks, and inside the flats themselves, you’ll find neat comfortable bedrooms, functional modern kitchens and bright living areas. It’s a central base that’s a ten-minute drive from Downtown and Culver City – meaning you'll be surrounded by some of Los Angeles' best dining, shopping and nightlife. *There's no internal access between the top floor and the bottom floor, just a staircase by the entrance*A car is necessary for exploring Los Angeles – this home has space for four cars in the driveway and two in the garage*The neighbour...

If you’re looking for a valley spot to call home for a while, you couldn’t be better located. Just a two-minute drive from the best stretch of Ventura Blvd, you’ll be near delicious sushi restaurants, cafes, boutiques and bars. Getting to Beverly Hills is an easy twenty minutes in the car, while the beach is only thirty-five minutes away. Plus you'll be just ten minutes from Hollywood, ten minutes to Burbank and five minutes from Universal Studios. The apartment itself is well-appointed for a couple or solo traveller to spread out comfortably. We love the Audrey Hepburn fan art, and the cute tiled kitchen ready for fixing up meals to enjoy at the chic glass dining table. At the end of the day, open a bottle of wine on the private balcony, or go down to the shared patio and make use of the barbecue. Then watch a movie, maybe Roman Holiday, while kicking back on the cosy sectional. The marble bathroom and comfortable bed make this home a ...

All the small things have been thought of with Trophies. Even something that seems insignificant, like the presence of some basic ingredients and cleaning supplies makes such a difference to the overall experience. It’s in quite a central location, with plenty of the more sought-after areas only a short distance away, so the flat would be particularly good for first-time visitors to LA, who want to get a flavour of different parts of the city. *If you're after somewhere that feels like a real home, you'll be disappointed*There is parking for two cars in the garage, but street parking is very restricted*This apartment is in a building with many extra amenities Air ConditioningAmazon PrimeBalconyBarbequeBathtubBreakfast IncludedBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / CribDishwasherDryerExtra Pillows and BlanketsFirst Aid KitFree ParkingFree Parking On PremisesFree Parking On S...
