Santiago de Calatrava is nestled in the Andalusian countryside, far from crowded tourist spots. Known for its friendly locals and idyllic surroundings, it makes for a quiet, off-the-beaten-track destination. You'll find this home just a stone's throw from the laid-back town centre, within walking distance of a few local cafes and eateries. The pocket-sized garden could do with some TLC, but the private pool is a nice touch, especially when the Spanish sun is at its fullest. It's not the roomiest place inside or out – we think ten guests will be a squeeze as there are only two bathrooms – and it is dated in parts. That said, it'll suit a family wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. *The decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
