Recently renovated detached house-maisonette (Ground Floor-1st floor) in the centre of Mandraki (Lagkadi region) next to Saint Ioannis Theologos. It’s a 5 minutes’ walk from the high school, from the free parking, and the football field, and from the chochlakoi beach. It is in a very quiet area with loads of space and good views towards the central village. You can be served by all the shops of the central village that are all 5-10 minutes away.
It is fully furnished and equipped for a long stay, with a decoration that finds the balance between the traditional and the modern style. On the ground floor, there is a spacious living room with flat screen TV (with free satellite channels) and traditional furniture. There is also a fully equipped kitchen/dining room with a new fridge, a freestanding cooker, a microwave and a coffee machine to cover all of your daily needs. On the ground floor, you will also find storage space with washing machine and a hose tap so you can clean the outdoors with ease.
The staircase leads to the first floor where there are two spacious and bright bedrooms (1 double bed in one of them, and 2 single sliding beds in the other) with air conditioning and large wardrobes for comfortable and practical living. Coming out of the bedroom you are led to the front (southeast) side, where there is a comfortable balcony overlooking the central village. On the same floor, is the bathroom/toilet that is modern and functional. On the mezzanine you can venture into the back (northwest) side and enjoy carefree hours in the large private atrium area.
With the solar water heater, you will get free hot water all year around. You will never be bothered about how often and whether you need to fill the underground water tank that is usually a necessary chore for other houses in Nisyros, because we have already placed a fully automated water supply system. The brand-new windows will offer you a shield against heat losses during the winter and help cooling in the summer, since they also have sliding bug screens. It is a very robust house construction with stone walls that reach up to 1 meter thick!
It is an amazing house that we inherited from our ancestors, decorated with Aleka's unique style. We want to keep it in perfect condition so that you can enjoy it, whether you are alone or with your family.
Basic Rental Terms
The rent is 595 euros per calendar month from October up to and including May and includes the bills for (*) electricity, water, and fast Internet.
Minimum contract duration is 3 months. Please contact us if you want to stay in the summer months, or generally for short term accommodation, so we can make you a very good offer you can’t refuse!
We regret that you will not be able to bring your pet home because it is necessary to protect and maintain the sensitive elements of the property. We also thank you for not smoking so that the fire detection system that we have placed in every room is working smoothly.
We donate 15% of all rental income to a local children's charity (we'll send you proof of donation).
(*) There is a pre-agreed monthly limit on the consumption of electricity and water included in the rent; beyond this limit, the tenants are responsible for paying the difference.
