Olive Grove Farmhouse - Casa Rural licence no: CR/GR/00254

Olive Grove Farmhouse is an old property which has been well-reformed keeping all the traditional Andalucian characteristics. The property consists of 3 dwellings - the owners accommodation and two rental accommodations: an apartment in the main farmhouse and a self-contained cottage attached to the main farmhouse.

This sweet little cottage with its own entrance is full of charm and character. The cottage is affectionately called The Corner House because it is on the corner of the main farmhouse. The Corner House was reformed from old animal and store rooms. It is attached and linked to the main farmhouse but quite independent of it with its own entrance. There is a main bedroom with en suite shower-room. There is an additional single bedroom with a shower room which incurs an extra charge, rates for the 2nd bedroom are negotiable.

The Corner House is very cosy for just a couple. With additional accommodation of the apartment and extra bedroom you can have a party of up to 9 people staying here

The Corner House has a very comfortable double bedroom with ensuite shower-room, a kitchen/diner well equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, and a spacious living room with log-burner for the cold days (and nights) in the winter.

The salon has a day bed which can be used by an extra guest if required. There is a small extra charge for this please see our rates on this site.

Outside are a selection of terraces to sit out on including a covered area for summer dining outside. There is a large splash pool for hot sunny days (May-Sept)

The property overlooks olive groves with uninterrupted views of mountains and valleys. Walks are immediately accessible.

There is plenty of parking and road access is good.
Up to two dogs are welcome in the Corner House (for a small extra fee) as long as well-behaved and well-house trained. No large dogs please.

The owner/manager Helen Watson lives on site most of the time. You are left to enjoy your undisturbed but Helen is always available for help, queries or problems. In Helen's absence there is always someone available locally to help.

Due to many enquiries for 2019 summer bookings, be sure to enquire as soon as possible if you are interested in staying here over the summer.

3 months and more - €525/month for 2 people. €75/month for each extra person

ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATION
The property can accommodate a large family or large party of people as the two rental accommodations are linked. It is possible to accommodate 6 people comfortably, 10 people if extra beds are used in the bedrooms and living rooms. All rooms are spacious. Please ask if you are interested in renting both accommodations and we will arrange a very attractive all inclusive price for you.

GENERAL
There is plenty of parking and road access is good.
Although rural the property is not isolated. Olive Grove Farmhouse is part of a cortijo of 8 houses on the edge of a very small village.

The views and walks are spectacular. Many people stay to come and sketch, walk, bike and enjoy the rural environment. Some like to go sightseeing as there are many places of interest in the area, others visit the beach or go to Sierra Nevada for skiing in the winter and walking in the summer.

Locally (3kms +) there are villages with shops, bars, banks and restaurants.
The main town, Alcala La Real, is approximately 16 kms away. It is a very comprehensive town for shopping and other facilities. It has its own castle/fortress, museum and old churches.
Granada city is 45 minutes away. Cordoba 2 hours, the beach at Salobrena an hour and 20 minutes.

€100 deposit is required when booking confirmed. This is returnable at end of stay less any significant damage. It is not returnable if booking cancelled. rental payment is due 7 days before arrival. Smoking is allowed outdoors; it is not permitted indoors. You may pay be PayPal but there is a surcharge of 3% for this. Otherwise we take direct bank transfer.
