Surrounding area:
The name of this town comes from the fact that, at the time of the discovery of Madeira island, a large number of sea lions were sighted in this location. Currently, these animals occasionally appear only on the south coast of the island, with a preserved colony on the Desertas Islands.
The town's main economic activities are fishing, agriculture - with emphasis on wine growing -, commerce, services and industry.
Câmara de Lobos was the first place where João Gonçalves Zarco, the navigator who discovered Madeira island, lived between 1420 and 1424.
Only 10 minutes by car to and from Funchal and minutes away from the the emblematic harbour of Câmara de lobos. It is located right next to the supermarket, restaurants, bakeries and other services.
Cleaning:
Cleaning services during the stay, as well as the replacement of bed linen and towels, are carried out on a weekly basis. If you wish extra cleaning service this can be arrange at an extra charge.
Check-in time is from 15:00. The extra cost for late arrivals from 22:00 to 24:00 is €30.00 and the extra cost for arrivals after 00:00 is €50.00.
