'La Cour de la Grange' is on Normandy’s 'Côte Fleurie' (Coast of Flowers), the northernmost region of the Pays d'Auge, renowned for it’s traditional farms, thatched timber-framed cottages and green lush countryside. We are in a quiet country location with the sandy beaches looking towards Deauville being the view from our hill-top position. Auberville now has a Superette convenience shop 1 kilometer from us. The beaches are within walking distance (horse riding allowed) along calm country lanes. 30 minutes in the other direction is the first of the of the D-Day landings beaches. Two restaurants are within an easy (flat) 10 minute walk, or a few kilometres in the car to Villers-sur-Mer or Houlgate, both charming seaside towns with all facilities, long sandy beaches, small shops, cafes and a market on several days. Both towns have a casino, but the famous Deauville Casino is only 6 kilometres further on from Villers. Fishing and Golfing facilities are within 3 kilometres
