lingthem lyang Homestay
Features: • Garden • Parking
lingthem lyang Homestay is situated in the lingthem area of Upper Dzongu in Northern Sikkim. Dzongu is a place reserved for the lepcha people, the original inhabitants of Sikkim. lingthem, a beautiful portion of Dzongu, is blessed with picturesque views of the mighty Kanchenjunga Mountain, the highest in India and the third highest in the world. The lingthem lyang Homestay is surrounded by rice paddy fields and cardamom groves, guarded by the lofty Himalaya Mountains and rolling hills, and it is blessed with many beautiful cold streams gushing down as waterfalls. The colorful folklore of Dzongu have captivated the minds of readers, luring people to visit this land from far off places. Dzongu is the unexplored land of the lepcha people. It is off the beaten path of the traditional North Sikkim tours. This area of North Sikkim requires visitors, both Indian and foreigners, to obtain a special permit specifically for Dzongu. Our Homestay can help visitors secure this permit for Dzongu as well as the permit for the rest of the North Sikkim area through the government offices in Mangan. Our lingthem lyang Homestay aims to provide Eco-friendly tours where travelers can enjoy a real taste of the lepcha culture, customs, and language while participating in a range of activities. The cost of your homestay will include three traditional lepcha/Sikkimese meals a day, cooked with locally grown ingredients (our fields!), as well as plenty of tea and biscuits. We hope that the warmth and hospitable nature of our community will engrave right into your hearts, compelling you to stay here forever. We truly care for you with arms wide open and hope that our Homestay becomes a home away from home.
