This was a WONDERFUL homestay! Very comfortable, warm and friendly. My stay felt very homely and I felt almost part of a family. The hosts gave us alot of tips and advise on things to do and how to do them in Kolkata. They can arrange car hires with very dedicated drivers at a very reasonable rate. The neighbourhood is quiet and near the airport. Gives one a sense of what life in Kolkata is like. The icing on the cake was that Sujata is a great cook and loves to serve her guests Bengali food. She even taught me how to cook a few dishes, so I feel I have returned enriched with some knowledge. On the whole a very relaxed stay with people who are now friends.

This was a very pleasant stay. Both of my hosts immediately made me feel at ease and the home cooked Begali food was really excellent. The flat was by no means roomy but I never felt that I was getting in their way and both Subho & Sujata were extremely knowledgable, not just of practicalities of getting around the city & India, but of other cultures as well. They really take an interest in their hosts, and have in fact planted the seeds for some long term friendships through the homestay experience.
