Our stay with Maden and his family was wonderful. They are exceptional hosts. Nothing is too much trouble, from booking trips to organising tour guides and drivers. We met the most interesting people and the food prepared and cooked by the family is outstanding, the best we received during our stay in Cambodia. Would definitely return to this unforgettable place.

Der TukTuk Fahrer Mister Khong hat uns am Flughafen abgeholt, er ist sehr sympatisch, wir haben bei ihm gleich noch die Tempeltour gebucht.Der Gastgeber war nur zum Anfang da. Seine 14 Jährige Tochter hat alle Arbeit erledigt, das Zimmer vorbereitet, gekocht, den Abend mit uns verbracht. Sie war supper Nett und hat alles supper gemacht. Wir finden, dass ist nicht ihre Aufgabe. Wenn er uns auch noch in der kurzen Zeit, wo er mit uns gesprochen hat uns vorjammert, wie schlecht es ihnen geht usw. Bei einer so schlechten Gastfreundschaft seinerseits, erstaunt es uns nicht. Zu alldem, war es auch sehr unordentlich auf dem ganzen Gelände und auf dem Esstisch hatte es Hühnerkacke und sonstige Verunreinigungen.

Maden and his family were all wonderful and it was an absolute honour to be guests in their home. It was a great experience for our family to stay in his village and to see real Cambodian life. Maden was very kind and took us wherever we needed to go - even to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat! We loved our walks around the village, meeting the local children and watching the sunset over the rice fields. Sitting around the big outdoor table for home-cooked dinner, chatting with the family and just enjoying the simple life was great.

It was a wonderful couple of days, and you made my experience in Cambodia one that I will not forget. To those considering Real Home Stay, do it! To be patron to and support a family while you are a guest in their homeland is a meaningful, significant opportunity. You will find the true beauty of Cambodian life, as well as learn the stresses of life, and observe the incredible resilience of the Cambodian people. With a beautiful landscape (including fantastic sunrises and sunsets), a very warm and welcoming family, delicious garden fresh, home cooked food, and a chance to see the real ways of Cambodian life you will leave with a full heart! P.s. The fan is as a ceiling fan, over the bed, and there is a mosquito net and the mattress was comfortable so my sleeps were very great!

A unique, traditional, Cambodian homestay that was exactly what I was hoping for when I signed up with Maden and family. They took care of transport to and from the airport, around the Angkor Wat complex, and meals and drink for my entire stay. Maden and family were beyond friendly and welcoming from the moment I first contacted to leaving Cambodia. They love practicing English and the kids are a joy to be around. I was sad to be leaving them on my last day for sure.

It was a great experience to stay at the homestay of Maden. He was the best host en we talked for a long time about his personal story and other interesting things. The family is really welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

I wasn’t certain about a homestay but I read some of the reviews about Maden and his family and booked 4 nights. If you aren’t sure, just do it! He and his family are incredibly warm and kind. I enjoyed speaking with his children as well as Maden and meeting some of his brothers. They are honest, hardworking people. You can spend time with them or you also have plenty of privacy if you want. Food is excellent and filling. The accommodations are exactly what is described. His friend Richard was my driver and I also got to know him well and consider him a friend in the brief 4 days we shared. We talked life and listened to each others music on his new Bluetooth stereo! He is safe, helpful and get you where you need on time. A concern every tourist has is getting ripped off by tuk tuk or taxi drivers. Or they want to take you to shops so they get paid by owner. With Richard and Maden, you don’t worry about that. They are trustworthy and transparent people.
