This is one super cool coastal pad. We love the stylish and laid-back design of this home that its surfer owners have lovingly crafted. Your hosts' personality really comes through elements such as the wall-mounted clock collection, the reclaimed wood wardrobe doors and the self-build spirit on show in the jungle garden. Here, they've repurposed corrugated steel panels to divide the space, built homemade garden furniture and even managed to fit in an artist studio caravan. There's even a fire pit for cosy evenings. The standout feature has got to be its proximity to gorgeous Venice Beach, an easy fifteen-minute amble away. Surf's up, so what are you waiting for!
* There's only one sleeping area – the third guest will sleep on a single bed in a nook with this room (so it's only really suitable for a child)
* There's no air-conditioning except for a small unit in the master bedroom
