There’s a private walled garden with a lawn and a sparkling swimming pool fringed by sun loungers or dine outside under the shade of the loggia after cooking an Italian feast on the wood-burning barbecue. Or enjoy a meal in the eat-in kitchen (there’s no formal dining room here, so you may need to tidy up after cooking, or let your host arrange a private chef). When you feel like exploring, there’s plenty to do. This place is situated just 400 metres from the main square in Calci, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt village. Here you’ll find restaurants and a natural history museum, while Pisa and Lucca are 12 and 22 kilometres respectively.
*For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom here.
*Your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*The chlorine swimming pool is only available for use between May and September. It is fenced, but it isn't fully child safe, so if you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay – there's parking for four cars here. Pisa airport is 17 kilometres away.
