You’re right in the thick of it here, with the Colosseum a fifteen-minute walk in one direction, and twelve minutes to the Trevi Fountain in the other. The surrounding streets are brimming with pizzerias, local trattoria selling carbonara by the mound and pavement cafés spilling into piazzas. Yet the apartment itself is a haven of calm. In true Italian style, the sofa is leather and depictions of Rome on the gallery-white walls are a reminder of exactly where you are. A sleek, modern kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a plate of pasta for dinner. Or, you can head out to the many eateries in the area. You’re spoilt for choice in Monti.
