There are plenty of original features inside, from the arched ceilings to the wooden beams and exposed stone walls. However, your host has made sure that 21st-century guests will be right at home here, with plenty of modern conveniences. The outdoor space is similarly stunning – flop down on the sofa to enjoy the shade, make a splash in the swimming pool, or catch some rays on a lounger. Budding chefs will be delighted by the summer kitchen, where you can cook up a storm to serve at the alfresco dining area – don't forget the prosecco.
Adventurers can head into the Bosco Delle Pianelle, a beautiful nature reserve that is just five minutes away by car. There you can hike through the glorious forest landscapes, and admire the views across Puglia. The town of Locorotondo is just a ten-minute drive away, where you'll find stunning white-washed buildings and a selection of fabulous restaurants serving local fare. It's one of the most popular towns in the area, and for good reason – the relaxed atmosphere and sense of history are sure to charm you.
