This lovely apartment has home-away-from-home charm in spades. If you’re planning a romantic visit to Kefalonia and want somewhere cosy and attractive to return to each day, you can’t do better than this apartment.
The apartment is mere metres from the sea, so the balcony offers lovely views. Watch boats bobbing in the water while you eat your breakfast al fresco – the distant mountains make a beautiful backdrop. This is such a pretty part of Greece – we’d definitely be heading out on day trips to make the most of the location.
Myrtos Beach, which featured in the film version of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, is twenty-five minutes away by car, with its dramatic stretch of white pebbles and beautifully blue water. Of course, there’s a beach just two minutes away from the apartment so you can paddle any time.
The magical Melissani Cave is just five minutes away on foot, in Karavomylos. After taking a boat trip through the cave to discover the lake and forest within, meander through the village. Pop into a taverna for some meze and a cocktail or two – sit outside so you can watch the sunset over the sea. This place is perfect for romance.
