Throw in a good mix of Georgian architecture, cobbled roads, leafy suburbs, and sights to see, and you’re onto a winner whenever you’re looking for a city break.
When you’re not visiting said restaurants, or sussing out the best opportunities for a holiday selfie, you might be holed up in a cosy cafe with an extra large coffee as you devour the book you’ve just purchased at the second-hand store. Walk past the University of Bristol as you head to 1532 Bristol to catch a show at the performing arts theatre.
Back home, let the breeze through by opening every skylight and simply sink back into the corner sofa and catch up on a series. Later, move family-time out into the garden as you dine alfresco – if the weather allows it, you might even choose to stay there with a board game until the sun finally sets.
