Then there are two further living areas – the garden room with a traditional old fireplace and a library lined with towering bookcases. The kitchen looks as though scullery maids still bustle through, with its hanging pots and farmhouse charm. Though all the appliances are state-of-the-art modern. The huge dining room features a bay window overlooking the gardens and a brick fireplace for chilly evenings.
