With floor to ceiling windows wrapping around half of the living, dining, and kitchen space, this Courchevel cabin is nothing like what you’d expect from an ordinary ski lodge. High enough up that you can get a real appreciation for the sprawling slopes of the Courchevel mountain and the rest of the Les Trois Vallées, this particular cabin is less rustic homeliness and more luxurious comfort. The furniture – carefully selected – is brought to life by decorative touches like the statement chandelier above the dining table. Right here, coincidentally, is where you can eat every meal, mesmerised by the beautiful views just beyond the pane of glass.
Warm wood and soft lighting will welcome you home after a long day out on the slopes, located right next to the accommodations, and we encourage a long soak in the tub and freshly-brewed coffee as the ultimate tonic to stave off the chill the piste might have brought on.
Head out for a slice at the pizzeria minutes away and when you return, warm milk on the stove for steaming cups of cocoa to accompany a family movie night. Play charades, read in companionable silence, and enjoy each other’s company before retiring for the night.
We recommend watching at least one sunrise from the balcony – wake up before dawn to make a cup of coffee and stand out, wrapped up against the cold. And if mornings aren’t at all your thing, then settle for a glass of wine at sunset.
