Not far from the Spanish border you’ll find Perpignan, a classified City of Art and History – thanks to its roots as a former Majorcan capital – and home to this eclectic apartment. It’s only fitting that the bold interior echoes elements of both Spanish and French flair as an ode to its surroundings. The result is a vibrant space that honours natural wood and rattan but also puts more opulent touches front and centre.
Spend your time here unwinding with an early-morning coffee on the balcony or by reading on the sunny sofa. Gather around the kitchen island after lunch to pour the wine, snacking as you chat.
When you wander out, you’ll find Spanish influences in the Cathedral of Saint-Jean-Baptiste and the majestic promenade des Platanes. Take holiday photos in front of the many ancient buildings and sit down to eat at one of the local restaurants or cafes. Head to the beach – Plage du Lido lies at the other end of a short drive, or tee off at Golf de Saint-Cyprien.
