Located in the little village of Brotton, just a short drive from Saltburn-by-the-Sea, this characterful cottage has loads of traditional features that make it feel homely and quaint, such as the exposed beam ceilings, ornate wooden furniture and chintzy soft furnishings. It also sits in a private garden where you can listen to birdsong on crisp dewy mornings, and find a bit of peace and quiet amongst the trees.
Start each day with a good book in one of the two sunrooms, and let the light flood in through the glass walls. Head into the large, country-style kitchen, and cook up a full English breakfast. Tuck in alfresco on your patio dining set, while you discuss the day’s itinerary. Head to Saltburn Beach for a paddle in the waves, or head into Brotton for a pint in a classic village pub. When you return, light up the wood burner fireplace and cuddle up on the sofa with a glass of wine, before falling into your big cosy bed, ready to do it all again the next day.
