We love the distinctly bohemian, even somewhat Balearic feel of this unique holiday home in the coastal region of Comporta in Portugal's scenic Alentejo. Boundaries become blurred as inside melds into outside and vice versa – open up the many doors and it becomes hard to tell where one ends and another begins.
The simple country-style kitchen is ideal for preparing a low-key breakfast which can then be taken out to one of the gorgeous terrace areas to be eaten with nothing but the sounds of the countryside around you. With outdoor living areas, a rooftop terrace and a plunge-style pool, this home was made for entertaining in the sunshine – grab a glass of local Vinho Verde and celebrate your hard-earned time off with your loved ones.
Fancy a change of scenery? Head to the beach 3km away, visit the quintessentially Portuguese town of Comporta for fantastic shopping and dining, or venture further afield for a day trip to lovely Lisbon.

*The plunge pool is perfect for cooling off on hot days, but it isn't roomy enough to swim laps
