Stepping inside, bold nautical stripes and elegant maritime artefacts remind you the coast is never far away. While the rest of the home is gloriously muted and pared back, with rustic touches and exposed stonework in the serene bedrooms perfectly echoing the laidback charms of this chilled isle.
When it's time to soak up island life, follow the ancient goat paths to your local beach, just five minutes downhill. Hop in the car to the sleepy village of Fontana with its authentic tavernas (just a five-minute drive away) or, just a smidge further, Loggos (a ten-minute drive). Its café bars, shops and boat hirers for a jaunt along the glistening bays is an afternoon well spent.
