Up the Haystack
This quirky holiday home was once an old hay barn, and dates back 180 years. It’s been lovingly converted into a charming holiday apartment, an ideal base for a couple wanting to get out and explore the Great Outdoors.
The apartment is in the old town of Bolvedro, where you can meander the narrow pedestrian streets with gelato in hand. It’s a wonderful base for visiting the towns and villages of Lake Como, with beautiful Varenna and Bellagio within easy reach. Hop on a ferry to explore, or go by foot – this home is right on the Greenway di Lago hiking trail, after all.
You can stroll to the shore of Lake Como in three minutes, or even closer to home, spend time in the lovely gardens. Pick fresh figs, grapes and plums for breakfast, and fire up the barbecue for dinner. You’ll fall in love with this home, just as we did.
*At full occupancy, one guest will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room

*We think the kitchen is better suited to light bites rather than full meals
*Your host kindly asks that you respect the quiet hours from 10pm until 7am
*Well-behaved dogs may be allowed to accompany you during your stay but can only stay in the garden, not inside
*There are stairs to climb here, so this home may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility
