Country-House in peaceful landscape close to Ansião & Coimbra
The Country House, about 25 km from Coimbra, has been completely rebuilt from a historic 19th century house in the typical simple Portuguese villa style and thus has all the comfort features of a new building. Characteristics such as the centrally set rubble stone interior wall between living room and kitchen, a juliet balcony on the first floor and the broken stone outer walls are combined with modern energy equipment such as a fully automatic pellet stove for heating of all rooms (between October and April) and a solar thermal system with 300 liter tank for the highly available, ecological hot-water supply. The house is situated on a small street near the forest of the village and so far in a very quiet, relaxing area.

The outdoor area characteristics are the back (east side) paved, arched terrace with beautiful stone mosaic table and front patio (west side) with its big stone wall. There is a parking on the plot, orange trees, olive trees and a fig tree.
The house is situated in a small village close to Ansião and Santiago da Guarda. In Ansião, the district town, all infrastructural facilities (you will find supermarkets like Intermarché and discount stores, restaurants, swimming pool, medical services, Centro da Saude, hairdresser, banks and other service providers) are available. The expressway IC 8 with gateway Ansião is reached in 5 minutes, eastwards leads to the natural river pools, the city of Guarda and the numerous lakes and recreational areas west to Pombal as the nearest bigger town. Northward lies the old historic university city of Coimbra (approx. 35km) and southward the famous city of the Knights Templar, Tomar (approx. 50km). Porto or Lisbon Airport is about 1.5 hours from the house when using the highway. The Atlantic beaches are easily accessible by IC 8 (e. g. approx. 40 minutes for the broad and original dune beach Osso da Baleia).
