Pastoral retreat in the Portuguese countryside
Welcome to our warm, traditional family farm, Zen Vouga, located on the outskirts of a rural village in Portugal, Zen Vouga, also known as Quinta do Fundo de Vila, sits on just over 3 acres (1 hectare) of pure nature, in a tranquil and idyllic setting. Comprised of 4 private houses for visitors, each rented separately. We welcome everyone, regardless of ethnicity, colour, credence or sexual orientation.
We have the facilities necessary for you to make your own meals and enjoy some relaxing time in
Portugal's laid-back countryside.
Zen Vouga is our family farm dating back to 1744. In keeping with the appreciation for the best of traditional Portugal, we have restored our houses with hewn granite stone, local timber, and wood-fired clay tiles, also paving our pathways in cobblestone. Situated in a region of Portugal known for its excellent gastronomy, regional wines, and the largest thermal baths in the country, Zen Vouga is a perfect place to relax and replenish.
At the farm, our guests can view traditional wine-making facilities, an ancient wine press and cellar. We have also preserved a maize crib, barbecue and wooden oven, typical of Portuguese country homes. We have added a games room and a covered pool for the entertainment of our short term guests.
This house has gas (included in the rent), as well as electricity (your own counter and bills) and water counter, with Starlink, fast satellite internet included.
The farm is in a remote village in the countryside, so we don't have a public sewer system and instead use septic tanks. We ask that you only please wash personal products like soaps and shampoos down the drains and dispose of everything else (including toilet paper) in the toilet bins provided.
Please help us preserve and maintain nature at its best.
PS: you definitely need your own means of transportation here, and if you don't have we can rent an old car for you to use

Nearest Airports: Viseu, 50 km | Porto, 100 km
Minimum deposit is three months for a one year contract, corresponding to one month rent and two months caution fee, which can be deducted from the last two months of rent, if you do not wish to prolong your stay with us.

This house includes furniture, clothes- and dish-washing machines, a new air conditioning unit, a heater, a fully equipped kitchen with appliances (refrigerator with freezer, stove and oven, water heater, exhaust, microwave oven, toaster, water boiler), full cutlery and bedding services.
