"This was our first visit to Asheville, and we could not have picked a better place to stay. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and made to feel at home. Our wonderful host, Milan, had fresh baked cookies for us! The accommodations were much better than anticipated. Very quiet, private, and comfortable. The pictures on the website really don't do it justice. Only minutes from the Biltmore and Downtown Asheville. We highly recommend staying here on your visit to Asheville." - Michael
"This [rental] was by far the best one I've stayed at yet in NC! The pictures do not do it justice! The owner has impeccable taste and truly outdid herself to make our stay as comfortable as possible! We felt very safe in this gated community and very much enjoyed our time in Asheville. I give it 5 stars!! We plan to only stay here when we visit the area again!" - Lara
"If you want a quite more intimate experience of the mountains then this is the place for you!! Amazing views, close to Pisgah Forest and nearby food. Milan is an amazing host! She has the best cookies you will ever taste and has a wonderful personality along with many stories. Great for couples who want to get away but have privacy and not be too close to all the noise of Asheville. Very glad we booked here!" - Christine
"How do I begin? Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Milan and John are very special people and they welcomed us into their home from the moment we arrived. Homemade granola, fresh baked cookies and biscotti. Fresh milk and coffee creamer waiting in the frig. What more do you want. The apartment was clean (freshly ironed sheets on the bed) and beautifully decorated. I wish I had taken pictures of the apartment for future reference to implement some of the decorating ideas from Milan."

My husband and I spent the weekend in this beautiful apartment! Everything was PERFECT!! This apartment is nestled in a very nice, safe neighborhood and only about 10 miles from downtown Asheville. It has everything you would ever need. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was perfect for the cool rainy nights! Milan and John were very sweet and accommodating. Milan even made us homemade cookies that were amazing!! We will definitely be returning!

We stayed over Valentines w/e and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The home made granola and freshly baked cookies added a lovely personal touch. Thank you Milan. The apartment is so tastefully decorated and designed by Milan, it made us feel very relaxed. Thank you too for the Valentines orchid! Loved the Italian Angel Decorations above the dining table! The weekend was bitterly cold and we had a major storm with very high winds Saturday which knocked out power to the area. No matter, the gas fire kept us warm and toasty! Thank you again Milan & John for the invitation for breakfast on the Sunday morning! We were able to take in Biltmore on Sunday afternoon and the power was restored by the time we got back to the apartment. We like to be independent on our travels and so appreciated all the amenities in the apartment, without having to ask. Milan really has thought of everything you may need. The apartment is very close to Asheville and all its attractions, barely 10 minutes to the Biltmore Village. Thank you so much for having us, we do hope to return.

My husband & I chose well when we reserved this beautiful loft apartment for 3 nights to celebrate our 20th anniversary. After meeting our sweet hosts, Milan and John, and seeing the amazing accommodations, we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. Milan even baked chocolate chip cookies for our trip home. She is amazing! We will definitely return.

We looked extensively before booking this stay. It was by far one of the nicest we came across and absolutely the best value. The accommodations were exactly like the on-line photos depicted. The suite was spacious, well furnished and exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable, the gas fireplace was romantic and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do in Asheville and was extremely quiet. Milan and John were excellent hosts, even leaving us flowers for our anniversary and inviting us for Thanksgiving dinner. I would definitely recommend it and would gladly stay again if we return to the area.

We have stayed at many different types of hotels and rentals. This one is definitely a new favorite. Great location but not too far from anything in Asheville. The apartment was very spacious and well decorated. Full kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the gas fireplace in the bedroom that was perfect for the 4 inches of snow we had the first morning we were there!

We had never been to Asheville. As excited as we were to visit the Biltmore, we were equally excited to stay at Milan's Apartment. The pictures on the Internet, were gorgeous. We just knew we would love our stay, and we did!!! The pictures, did not disappoint. The apartment was every bit as lovely, welcoming, quiet, and comfortable, as the pictures. We had a fantastic stay. Not only is the apartment, fantastic to rent, it is in a perfect location. Close to everything we wanted to do. To any interested renters, this place is the JACKPOT!!!

My husband and I along with our 18 month old granddaughter had a wonderful, relaxing time in Milan and John's wonderful apartment. The apartment was so much more than we were expecting. So clean, well decorated and we slept like babies. Milan and John were so gracious and welcoming. The cookies Milan was so kind to bake for us were some of the best I've ever had. We can't wait to return. Asheville is a wonderful little city and Keswick Hills is a lovely and private gated community.

My husband and I stayed for four nights. The owner (Milan) is a delight -- we found her to be very friendly and funny (and an amazing baker--she shared several of her confections with us...all were yum-o). We arrived very late because of bad traffic, and she even offered to make us something to eat. The place is as others have described it: high-quality finishes, beautiful, roomy, clean, private, and a very comfortable bed; most importantly, it was QUIET. I dislike staying in hotels because of the noise--doors slamming, people talking in the hallways, etc. This place was super quiet. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential (very nice) neighborhood and we heard not a peep. All this and it is less than five minutes to a major road with restaurants, grocery stores, movie theater, etc. We would definitely stay there again.

We just returned from a week at Milan and John's apartment. Beautifully furnished, quiet, comfortable, and close to everything! They have thought of everything from the china dishes to cutting boards. Usually when we rent a condo, there is something that is missing. Not here! You couldn't ask for nicer landlords. Milan made some awesome granola on our arrival and surprised us with homemade chocolate chip cookies when we returned to the apartment after a day of sightseeing. The only problem we had was with the wifi. John installed a new modem but it was still a weak signal. They assured me that they would get this issue resolved. I still must give them 5 stars. You won't be disappointed.

After reading the positive reviews of this charming apartment, we rented it for four nights. I don’t know if I can add any more positive adjectives that haven’t already been said about the fine hospitality offered by John and Milan, or about the absolutely beautiful apartment, but here are a few comments we’d like to make. First of all, we experienced just about all the wonderful things said about the owners and the apartment. Our flight arrived very early in the morning and Milan knew we would not be able to get into the apartment yet, so she fixed us a wonderful southern breakfast. The homemade biscuits were baking as we arrived. There was a problem with the air conditioner that could not be repaired on Sunday, so John and Milan invited us into their home to stay cool, and even offered a bedroom in their home to sleep in. In addition, she invited us for dinner that evening. When we got into the apartment, she had a bowl of fresh vegetables and fruit on the counter for us. She also left some freshly baked cookies. This is not your typical apartment over a garage. It was tastefully decorated just as their lovely home was—top quality appliances, linens, beautiful kitchen, bath, bedroom and living room with exquisite furnishings and accessories. There are too many extras to list here. You will not want for anything. And as if they didn’t do enough to make us feel at home, the last night we were there, she gave us delicious peach pie that she had just made. Although we did all we wanted to do in Asheville, we want to return just to enjoy their beautiful apartment and southern hospitality. We definitely will recommend this place to our friends who are looking for a nice, quiet get-away.

We traveled to Asheville partly on business and partly on pleasure. We wanted a quiet, private, secure location with a kitchen, a king bed and laundry facilities. This place was awesome. When we arrived, Milan brought us a bowl of watermelon, home made biscotti, a jug of milk, some half and half for our coffee, and a container of orange juice. The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful, with a very comfortable bed, very modern kitchen, and all the cookware plates, bowls, glasses etc you could ever want. The bathroom is well appointed, private, and has an excellent fan. The Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak but it worked. The gardens are stunning, and the neighborhood is so secure that we left our expensive bikes leaning against the garage when we went out for the day. We spent 4 nights there and did laundry twice. Our hosts let us do our own thing, but were immediately contactable if we needed anything. We will stay here again next time we visit the Asheville area. Print out directions to the place. Our cell phone carrier doesn't do a good job around Asheville so we couldn't map out our route on the fly. We called Milan and she stayed on the phone for 10 minutes, guiding us to her place! Awesome!

My husband and I have been to the Biltmore many times, but have never experienced Asheville itself. We came across this place and so glad we did. The place is everything everyone has mentioned and more. Milan and John are great people for opening their home to others. We enjoyed Milan's high energy and full of life attitude. She helped me with my horrid allergies with great advice. The baked cookies were awesome she baked for us. You will never find a better place with these amenities, friendliness, and price. I highly recommend you to stay if ever in the area. We will for sure stay again and we have told friends! Thanks again Milan and John for a great stay while we explored Asheville!

I took my fiancée to Asheville for Valentine's Day Weekend. We stayed at Milan's rental apartment. I wasn't sure at first what it would be like to stay in an apartment unit located above someone's garage, but it was OUTSTANDING. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I hated to leave. We had all of the privacy in the world. You don't have to walk through Milan's living area to get to the apartment. You have your own separate entrance and separate key. Milan is very flexible with check in and check out times. This apartment has everything you need. You could literally live in it. It has a full kitchen and a full bathroom. She even furnished things like coffee, cookies, and milk. The apartment is also incredibly clean. It is cleaner than any hotel I've ever visited. The apartment was also very nicely furnished. It looks like it is brand new inside. I'm already wanting to go back, and I just got back from my trip yesterday. I can't wait to go back. You will not regret staying here at all. It's cheaper than a hotel room, but it is way better too. It was super romantic too.

My husband and I stayed here in October 2013. It is the nicest place we have ever stayed at! Comfort, beauty and convenient! Milan greeted us with a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. She took us inside the apartment and gave us a mini tour. This place is amazing! It has everything you could want and more! They didn't scrimp on one detail! The kitchen has top of the line appliances, even a microwave that pulls out of a drawer. The dishes are real China dinnerware. The cookware, glasses, even silverware is silver ! Being a woman, I noticed all the extras : ) The furniture is as comfy and beautiful as it gets! The king size bed was plush, no backaches here! There's a fireplace right in front of the bed with a timer so it makes for a worry-free & warm slumber. There's a large flat screen tv in the living room area, which we didn't get to enjoy because of time. The bathroom has large fluffy towels and a warm shower/tub combo. Lots of hot water! All we can say is... We didn't want to leave!! If you are coming to asheville, stay here, you won't be disappointed! Thanks again to Milan and John for all the great hospitality!!

My husband and I stayed a whole week at the suite in Asheville. For us, it was perfect since we could make some meals ourselves. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plus, it was nice and private. Being pregnant, I really enjoyed being able to just relax there in the evenings and not feel cramped, like in a typical hotel room.

We would definitely stay here again.

If you're looking into a getaway in Asheville and looking for accommodation, check FIRST into this gem nestled in the mountains near Asheville. Upon arrival, we were met by Milan, the super accommodating host. She showed us around and culminated with a freshly baked cookies and granola. The huge interior of this place was so impressive- high- end furniture (I mean all), well-equipped kitchen, comfortable king size canopy bed and very clean bathroom with all amenities. To sum it up, the online pictures can not do justice to this place of a gem. Milan and John has put a lot of personal touch into it. Discover it. Enjoy it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in this very spacious guest suite. You’ll be about a 15-20 minute drive south of Biltmore Village. Ask John or Milan for the best way to return to Asheville. We loved the privacy and décor. You’ll have a full kitchen, living area with tv, dining table for 4, and large bedroom with gas fireplace. Bathroom is a standard shower/tub combination. The guest suite is over their garage and very separate from their home. The home is located in a small, new residential community. The pond pictured in the photograph is not really on the property but rather at the entrance to the community. Would we return to this suite when traveling in the area? You bet!

My husband and I visited Asheville for our five year anniversary, and we were not disappointed! This rental really made the difference for us. Milan and her husband, John, were perfect hosts. Milan made us cookies, welcoming us to Asheville. They both are extremely personable and friendly. (Ask them how they met!!) The apartment itself was nicely furnished, which all of the amenities we needed. The location was pretty good--we didn't have to drive too far to any of our sight seeing spots (Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway, Downtown, Omni Grove Park Inn, etc.) My favorite part was that we paid a very good price for a king-sized bed, fireplace (even though we didn't need to use it), beautiful kitchen, and nice bathroom. I would say that my only "complaints" are that A) the wifi doesn't really work in the apartment (it showed up on my network list only when I was in the driveway), B) there are no blinds or curtains on the windows (not a huge deal, since the windows kind of protrude out a little bit (see photos I've added), the property sits a bit back from the cul-de-sac, and there are trees between the house and their neighbor's house, but still something that I wish was different), and C) it takes a VERY long time for the water to heat up in the bathroom sink (this might have something to do with it being an above-garage apartment, I'm not sure). Just FYI! Regardless of those three things, we would definitely stay here again in a heart beat! Do not miss out on this place!!

The hospitality received at this property was beyond AMAZING! My husband brought me here the night of our wedding as a quick weekend getaway. The luxury apartment is located in a nice, safe, and peaceful neighborhood minutes away from restaurants, shopping, art galleries, and the Biltmore Estate. The apartment is beautiful! The environment is filled with all amenities, very relaxing and spacious! The apartment is equipped with a full kitchen and a master bath along with a living area, dining area, a large bedroom with a gorgeous fireplace and a nice sitting area. I have been to many cabins and rental homes however this is far the best. The bed was beyond comfortable. We arrived a little late however we were welcomed with homemade granola which was very good and homemade freshly baked banana bread by Milan, one of the owners. The owners John & Milan were very friendly and welcoming. They also provided some excellent recommendations for eateries\ sites to see nearby. We also visited the Biltmore Estate and the winery in addition to Grove Park Inn where the lunch & dinner were amazing!!!! I plan to stay here every time I come to Asheville. For the service alone, I wouldn't go any other place. If you sleep on this spot, you are definitely missing out!!!!

Milan's homemade granola and cookies was an extra bonus. We had a great time in Asheville. So much to do. Grocery store's & restaurants are within a 10 minute drive. The accommodations are opulent, surrounding you with a rich and luxurious environment. The place exudes romance and is perfect for an intimate getaway. The fireplace at the foot of the gorgeously carved four posted bed added to the romantic ambience. The art work within the apartment added interest and we enjoyed exploring its history. The apartment is well appointed with everything you need for a delightful stay. It had extras that you would not expect in an ordinary rental. The owners were exceptional hosts welcoming us with a plate of fresh baked cookies. We were in Asheville meeting with our architect designing our retirement home. The hosts were kind enough to provide us with suggestions based upon their expertise in home design and building. The place was very well appointed, clean and the seeing was so peaceful in the mountains of south Asheville. Milan greeted us warmly when we showed up and even baked us cookies. Obviously not necessary but just an example of their great hospitality. They were both warm and friendly and easy to talk to. The bed is awesome and so comfortable. Thank you guys for a wonderful weekend! This was one of our favorite getaways of our nearly 10 year marriage!

My husband and I spent 2 wonderful nights at this apartment, and have to say it lived up to its description "Luxurious Mountain Guest Suite" in every way. It is quite a large space with vaulted ceilings, situated over the garage of a fashionable home in a small upscale gated community a few minutes' drive from Downtown Asheville. Awaking to the birds chirping in the trees of the beautifully landscaped grounds give a feeling of privacy and peacefulness, while still being only a mile or so away from shops and amenities. The apartment is furnished in a winning mix of modern and antique styles; many pieces give the impression of being custom-made for the space. The kitchen is a cook's dream if that is your passion; the four-poster bed is as comfortable as it is handsome, and there are several seating areas to relax and enjoy down-time from visiting nearby Biltmore Estate, galleries and shops. Milan and John are the perfect hosts, helpful and respectful. We look forward to returning soon.

Our four days at the beautifully appointed apartment were truly delightful. The bed and linens were the ultimate in comfort making starting our days a bit of a challenge! Our hosts were there to meet us upon our arrival, showing us around the various amenities of the kitchen and the apartment as a whole. We found that patience was a necessity when waiting for the hot water and the bathroom lighting over the mirror could be improved, BUT the overall experience was a 5 star plus plus!! We look forward to our next visit and stay with John and Milan!

This apartment was perfect for us, more room than we needed. I had plenty of room to do yoga one morning without disturbing my husband. The full kitchen was great, we were able to make breakfast each morning and reheat leftovers from the night before for lunch. We found the apartment clean, quiet and adequately stocked in the kitchen and bathroom. The king bed was comfortable, we had plenty of closet space. The location is a short drive to both the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. Saturday morning we took a short drive on the Blueridge Pkwy to do some hiking, back for lunch, then down to Asheville for the afternoon. We hope we can come back next year, John and Milan were excellent hosts, very charming!

The location is ideal, quiet, secluded with outstanding accommodations. The hosts were gracious and made you feel at home. The room itself was more like a small home with a full kitchen. It is designed for mature couples and should be treated as you would your own home.

Asheville is such a cool place to be.... The art. The people. The food. Grove Park Sunsets. New Morning Gallery. Biltmore Village. West Coast Atmosphere.... I love it! And now, I've discovered this "country manor" minutes from town. If this property is available, better book it immediately!!! You can even buy organic and pick up a bottle of wine at a huge discount at Hopey and Company on your drive in.... My Sister and I loved the Owner Milan and all of the special things she does for her guests. And yes, she bakes cookies fresh from the oven for you!!! The best part.... our accommodations were far superior to any of the other places we've stayed before!!! Including Grove Park Fitzgerald Suites, Various Lofts Downtown, and Historic B&Bs.... The perfect setting for a sound good night's sleep, you wake up refreshed and energized for the day!!!! Internet service excellent too.... Love this place!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this large studio rental. It's not far from downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore and all the other sights. The owner Milan was very sweet and accommodating to us, and even provided warm baked cookies on our first night. We will stay again when we're back to visit our family in the area! I would definitely recommend.

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Asheville. We hiked, did whitewater rafting and enjoyed wine during a sunset at the Grove Park Inn. All these places and things to do were easy to get to from our lovely, quiet and very clean escape/rental. We were greeted upon a late arrival by Milan with a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies that were yummy. Our room was a very large loft or studio that was divided into separate kitchen & eating, living and bedroom areas that were tastefully furnished. Milan and John were very accommodating and friendly and they gave us helpful recommendations for things to do in the area. Overall, we had a great time staying at their place and experiencing what Asheville has to offer.

Gorgeous apartment with every amenity. Away from it all yet close to everything Asheville has to offer. Milan and John are gracious hosts who made us feel welcome from the time we arrived. They were respectful of our privacy but there if we needed anything. Didn't want to leave and can't wait for our next visit!

We spent two very enjoyable nights here. The guest suite is just as pictured: beautiful furnishings, a comfortable bed, a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and good china and cutlery. The owners/hosts are friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and Half and Half for our morning coffee, for which they left Starbucks coffee in the fridge. The location is excellent: a few miles south of downtown Asheville, but with easy access not only to the great restaurants and other attractions of the city, but also to the airport (just 15 minutes away), the Blue Ridge Parkway and nearby towns of Hendersonville, Brevard, and Flat Rock (the home and farm of Carl Sandburg are worth a visit, as is the N.C. Arboretum.)

My wife and I booked their apartment last minute, and Milan was very accommodating for our last minute visit. The apartment over their garage was spacious for two people, fully furnished, clean and very quiet. The location was convenient to downtown and hiking trails. We would definitely stay here again.

Every 5 star review is correct. This place is perfect in every way. To give you a sense of how large this place is-it is above an oversize 3 car garage so there is plenty of space. Milan greeted us when we arrived and gave us a carton of half and half for our coffee. Coffee is in the refrigerator. Everything you need is in the apartment. Linens and towels are upscale. Milan and John were so friendly we felt like we had been lifelong friends. We would definitely recommend this to anyone going to Asheville and will definitely consider for another trip to Asheville.

My best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our bucket-list stay in Asheville, NC. The place was fabulous, with a full-size kitchen, a large, lovely living room, a large bedroom with a most-comfortable king-size bed, and an upscale bathroom. Everything we needed was provided by an attentive hostess! I plan to return for another stay, this time with my husband.
