Isla Las Mercedes / Mercy Island

Isla Las Mercedes/Mercy Island is located 20 minutes away from the beautiful colonial city of Granada, on lake Cocibolca, one amazing tourist place; and is close to great views, art and culture and the city center.
You will love Las Mercedes because of the outdoors space, the natural surroundings and the sounds of birds.The relaxing solitude and quietness of nature; the peaceful ambient and the greens of the fruit trees and plants encountered along the pathway all around the island are unique and soothing.
Mercy Island is a one acre islet with two separate self sufficient houses with beautiful wood blinds in all windows, a 10 x 20 5 ft deep pool with filtered water; a 20-seat bar built under a huge mango tree for entertaining; three colored gazebos where up to 15 hammocks can be hanged and two white pergolas with swings for relaxation. Fully lighted by electricity provided by the national utility company, the island nevertheless has standing-by an emergency generator in case of black outs. Water from the bottom of the lake, extracted with a submersible electric pump and filtered, supplies the houses for cleaning and washing as well as for the swimming pool and irrigation of the premises. Purified drinking water is obtained in the city and brought to the island as needed.
The main house -where the hosts reside- is not available for rent.
The Guest house -a 3 bedrooms 2 bath- is a Rental unit completely furnished and designed for family use; it has 1 suite with 3 individual twin beds, 2 bedrooms with a Full bed each for two people and one shared bathroom with hot water, shower, lavatory and toilet. The second bathroom with lavatory, toilet and shower -no hot water- is in the corridor separating the two houses; and is accessible without entering either house. The suite and the two bedrooms have A/Cs, closets, night tables with lamps and ceiling fans. In the corridor separating the two houses there is a fully equipped Pantry with a sink, a small gas stove, a small fridge and microwave; and a 5 gallon purified drinking water container is also found in the pantry. Next to the corridor is the guests' living & dining area.
Guests can use the walk path around the island, relax on the hammocks under the kiosks as well as use the swings under the pergolas.
Guests can enjoy the pool, after showering before entering it.
A barbecue grill next to the pool is available for outdoor cooking.
A row boat is available to guests for exploring the surroundings.

Nice area, close to tourist atractions, good fishing and rowing, relaxing and enjoying nature. The hosts are very friendly.
