Suddenly i & ellie made a trip to sundarban with Avijatrik. It was a great experience with their service because they not only give us the experience of roaming around the sundarban in ship also give the experience to stay with local people of sundarban. The place where we stay was awesome. It has a great environment with the river sight. Though we stay there one night but we want to stay there more the one. After taking the experiences, i can assure that anyone can visit or stay there and came back with a great experience. By the way thanks to Avijatrik and the local people for giving us the services what was more that expected and experiences.

This eco lodge is set on the river in the Sundarbans. It is very rustic so don’t expect too many mod cons, but it is absolutely charming. There are three rooms to choose from and we stayed in their over water bungalow which comes equipped with an ensuite squat toilet, a mosquito net over the bed and an electric fan. There is also a shared bathroom that has a western toilet and a shower. Bottled water is provided. Meals are served on a sheltered veranda overlooking the water. There is a jetty just beyond the veranda where you can board boats to take you around the Sundarbans. The hospitality that we received was phenomenal and the food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten. The garden is really pretty and it is so relaxing to be there. On the last night the owners son played music for us and the owner sang along. That was really sweet and very memorable. The location is very off the beaten path, and for us it took 19 hours to get there door to door from Dhaka. We loved how remote it was and the sense of adventure in taking multiple modes of transport to get there. The resort is a community-based Eco-Tourism initiative established by Relief International. It is owned and run by the local community and the guest book had a good mix of local and overseas visitors. It is a hidden gem not to be missed.

We stayed in this place for 2 nights and really like staying forever. The people where so nice and gave us a warm welcome. They took us on a peivate tour trough a smal canal where we saw monkey's, deers, tropical birds, eageles, beehive and even a tiger foodprint. Remember you are in the wild and not in a zoo or park.. don't be scared. They live in this junge so they know what they're doing. Oh yeah, and the fresh food ofcourse was obviously the best we had on our stay in Bangladesh..thus..higly recommendable!! Stay at least 2 nights.. ENJOY

What an enchanted place! The food is delicious, the rooms clean, the activities varied, but the highlight is without a doubt the friendly staff running this homely place. Don't miss it!
