Ideal for a romantic getaway or solo trip, this home in the heart of Rome has the advantage of being in one of the most desirable locations. Set in the Pantheon district, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the sights – with only a three-minute walk to the Pantheon itself – as well as cafes and restaurants. Stroll around the Eternal City, admiring the architecture and finding a new appreciation for the rich history of the buildings and bones of this vibrant city. Colosseum Jewel

In the heart of Rome, mere minutes away from its most iconic landmark – the Colosseum – this two-bedroom apartment is a welcome haven amidst the exciting bustle of the Eternal City. Recently renovated and featuring chic Italian furniture, it’s full of home comforts and well-equipped for families and groups alike. But its true highlight is of course, the location – ancient relics abound in the immediate area, including the Roman Forum, the Domus Aurea and many more. Explore the history from thousands of years ago – right outside your door. *At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. There may not be room around the table for all guests at full capacity. *Parking in Rome can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. Much like its sister, Fern Fronds, in the same building, Fern Leaves is incredibly well kept and in a really good location - a residential street between the Borghese Gardens and Via Veneto, with the Piazza di Spagna only a short walk away. There’s plenty of space, with a small balcony, and the bathtub even has some jacuzzi jets installed to add a touch of luxury. *The air conditioning is the same throughout the house - it can't be tailored to each room *Guests 5 and 6 will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air Conditioning Baby Bath Baby Monitor Balcony Bathrobes Bathtub Black-Out Blinds Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Changing Table Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Cot / Crib Dishwasher Electricity Adaptors Extra Pillows and Blankets Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Freezer Fridge Hair Dryer High Cha...

    Hot Off The Press

No monument captures the spirit of Rome quite as like the Colosseum, and being as close to the amphitheatre as this home is a real privilege. Just six minutes (on foot) to the emblematic attraction, and a traditional local area full of authentic eateries and beautiful tangerine buildings – you're perfectly placed here. Back home, you'll find a sociable open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area benefitting from sleek grey floors, tasteful artwork of the city by night and plenty of natural light pouring in. Wandering through the home, you'll notice a collection of art and literature books, quirky adornments and funky printed wallpapers in the bedrooms. There, those who are working from home during their stay will be able to power through emails at the dedicated desk spaces. The other thing that really makes the flat stick out is Simona and her hosting. She’s an absolute delight and will do everything possible to make your stay as goo...

    Ambrosia View

Often, location is the most important consideration when choosing a home, and Ambrosia View has that down. At the end of the street (a gorgeous, cobbled alleyway), you have the Tiber, while Piazza Navona isn’t far in the other direction. The flat itself is small, but there’s no shortage of restaurants and wine bars in the area, so there’s plenty to do if you feel like getting outside. *While there is a double sofa bed, we wouldn't recommend it as it's in the same room as the main bed *This is a studio so space is at a premium *You'll have to take the stairs to the second floor as there's no lift *There's no oven or dishwasher *The only windows are on one side of the room, so it can get dark at the back Air Conditioning Breakfast Included Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Cot / Crib Dryer Electricity Adaptors Fan Fire Extinguisher ...

    Flavian's Terrace

This cute little apartment sits on the Via del Corso in the very centre of Rome. Its neighbours are luxury shops and buzzing pavement cafés, and you’re just a five-minute walk from the Spanish Steps here. Or, follow the Via del Corse five minutes in the other direction to reach the lively square of Pizza del Popolo, lined with cafés and home to a weekly book market. The apartment is a medley of old and new, with a flatscreen TV sitting above a classic fireplace and gallery-white walls. Gilded mirrors and herringbone floors add a touch of class and the kitchen is a sleek vision of modernity for cooking at home. Our favourite spot has to be the terrace, sheltered by Rome’s historic buildings and set up with bistro tables for cocktails outside. *The kitchen and terrace are shared with another unit. *At capacity, two guests will be on sofa bed in the living room *Security cameras are in operation outside this apartment<br...

    The Seven Hills

Just a short stroll from the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, this home has a great location within the heart of Rome. The Trevi Fountain, Palatine Hill and the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major are also within walking distance. Housed in a late 1800s building, the apartment has features such as intricate stained-glass windows and beams. The characterful living room also sleeps guests five and six on a sofa bed. There’s a small balcony to relax on as well after a busy day exploring the Eternal City. *There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home. *At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. *There's a small internal terrace here. *Your host kindly asks that you please respect the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, especially between 10pm and 8am. *There's no washing machine here, but there's a laundrette within walking distance.<...

    The Roman Art

This studio apartment is small but it packs a big punch. The modern decor makes it a stylish base, and the clever sliding doors make it feel more roomy than it is – when you’ve finished making your morning coffee you can simply hide the kitchenette from view. The main appeal of this home is undoubtedly the location though – you’re in the heart of Rome here. Piazza del Popolo is 500 metres away, and you’ll be just 1 kilometre from the Pantheon. There are countless bars and restaurants nearby too. *This is a studio apartment so space is limited – we recommend packing light. *We think the kitchenette is better suited to preparing light bites rather than full meals. You’ll have plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to choose from though. *This home is not suitable for children. The minimum age for check-in is 18 years old. Right between Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori, Refosco is in a bustling location, but inside it’s peaceful. Rich colours and plants, along with lots of decoration, create the interior design equivalent of a hug. The layout means that it’s perhaps best suited to families, or at least people who are comfortable being in close proximity, but if that doesn’t pose a problem, then it’s got a lot going for it. *The layout of the flat is rather strange – you can see from the floor plan, but you have to go through the bedrooms to get to the bathroom *There's only one bathroom, and it doesn't have any windows *For longer stays, your hosts might ask you to help out by watering the plants *Even though there's a lift most of the way to the flat, there's still a short flight of stairs you'll have to take Air Conditioning Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Cof...

    The Starling's Nest

Tranquillity awaits at this whimsical Italian apartment, which you’ll find tucked away down a quiet backstreet in Monti, one of Rome’s most eclectic neighbourhoods. Featuring high ceilings and immaculate wooden floors, this is the perfect place to unwind after a day of work or play in Italy's Eternal City. We particularly love the open-plan living area here and could see ourselves spending hours around the dining table, enjoying a bowl of fresh pasta alfredo and sharing a bottle of dry Frascati wine with our fellow guests. And when night falls, what better place to drift off than the secluded master bedroom, which comes with its very own ensuite bathroom, ideal if you’re after a bit of extra privacy. The interior’s not the only thing worth writing home about here though. With the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Basilica of Saint Mary Major all within easy walking distance, this place is perfectly situated for explo...

    Mandragora

Right around the corner from the Piazza del Popolo (and the magical views from the Terrazza del Pincio), just an eighteen-minute stroll to the angelic Trevi Fountain and an even easier ten-minute walk to the historic Spanish Steps – this place has convenience and ease written into its rustic wooden doors. Tastefully renovated and furnished, but without losing any of the charm of the structure, the interior is a picture of old and new. It's not often we mention our admiration for scruff marks, but the knocks on the wooden fittings nod to the history of the flat, and by extension, the city, so we really love them. Plenty of modern comforts have been added to offer everything you need for an effortless stay, from rainfall showers to cafetieres, it's all there. And when you're in search of a calming spot to delve into a good book, the third and fourth bedrooms benefitting from soft floral sofas, ornamental lanterns and plenty of natural lig...

    Prati Postcard

In upscale Prati, this apartment makes an excellent base for a Roman holiday. We love this location – the area's many wine bars and gourmet eateries are a stone's throw away, as is the Vatican when you're in the mood to sightsee. Juliet balconies overlook the pretty streets back home, pairing nicely with the sleek and minimalist interiors. The sofa bed can accommodate two guests, making it ideal for short stays. You'll also have access to a private terrace – it may not have any views, but it's still a pleasant spot to unwind in the evenings. *At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. The mattress is a little thing, so we think it's best for children and short stays. *The terrace is slightly overlooked by neighbouring buildings. *Though parking isn't provided, a car isn't needed in Rome. A metro station is just a short stroll away, and much of the city is within walking distance. *This hom...

    The Twelfth Century Charm

Immerse yourself in the heartbeat of Rome with a stay in a 12th century turret, a stroll away from the Pantheon. Divided over four floors, guests are welcomed by a living area complete with a compact but full kitchen. Ascend the winding staircase to discover two bedrooms – each with an ensuite bathroom. At the top, there’s a mini home gym, and a desk for those working remotely. You can really feel the history of Rome in the frescoes by Taddeo and Federico Zuccari, but the narrow stairways may not suit everyone. *This is an ancient tower, split across four levels with old, narrow staircases between floors. It would not suit children under four or those with limited mobility. *While the kitchen area is rather compact, it does have a full oven, stove, fridge and freezer. *It's a little cramped in the living area and the TV is quite small. *There is air conditioning in the bedrooms, but not in the living room. *In a central...

    It Will Be So

Brilliantly situated in Monti, one of Rome's most ancient neighbourhoods, this top-floor apartment is truly something special. There's no question that the private terrace is the crown jewel of the place. With a charming bistro table and an abundance of sunshine, it's the perfect spot to start the morning with an espresso and a pastry – and of course, end the evening with a bottle of Italian wine as the world passes by below you. Elsewhere, you'll find two quaint Juliet balconies – not ideal for sitting, but the view of the bustling street below is as Roman as it gets. The rest of the apartment is filled with light, packed with character and super stylish. Curl up on the cream-coloured sofa and watch a flick on Netflix, rustle up homecooked pasta in the kitchen and work from home at the desk in the second bedroom. There's more than enough space here to spread out and make yourself at home. And the options for exploring ar...

    Cobblestone Hideout

Location, location, location! This apartment is a perfect base for exploring the very best of the Eternal City. Your Roman retreat is right in the heart of the historical centre, on a beautiful cobbled street no more than a fifteen-minute amble away from Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, and charming Trastevere. Perhaps most importantly, you're just off Via Giulia – a roughly half-mile-long cobbled street that's lined from end to end with beautiful churches, elegant palazzi, maze-like antique shops, and some of the fanciest homes in Rome. It's also well-equipped with eateries – I Sofà Bar Restaurant \u0026 Roof Terrace is set to impress with great views and even better food or you can rub shoulders with Rome's great and good at specialist seafood establishment Assunta Madre. If the idea of a quiet night in appeals, the high-end appliances in the kitchen have got you covered, while the home cinema in the double room is ideal for watching l...

Tempus has pretty much everything going for it. Not only is it in the very centre of Monti (on a backstreet though, so it’s pretty quiet), but the design shows off a lovely mix of original brick archways and modern, almost industrial touches. The enormous kitchen island is a dream, and we haven’t come across many more inviting bathrooms than the little grotto here. It’s very bright, thanks to the plate glass windows, but these also bring about the only flaw we could find – you’re definitely in a bit of a fishbowl. *There are floor-to-ceiling windows that look out directly onto the street at ground level *The entire flat's very open and there's no privacy between bedrooms *Two guests will be sleeping in the sofa bed in the living room Air Conditioning Bathtub Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Dishwasher Electric...

Live like a Roman at this traditional apartment in the centuries-old Testaccio neighbourhood, sitting right on the pretty piazza. Surround yourself with history and culture, and be just a short stroll from the Circus Maximus, the Jewish Ghetto and the district of Trastevere. You'll find plenty of friendly bars and authentic restaurants nearby, as well as a village-like atmosphere running through the cobbled streets. And, after a day of sightseeing, return to your standing balcony for a refreshing drink as you perch and watch the locals go about their evening below. Although the apartment lacks a proper living area, we reckon you'll be too busy exploring the area to mind that much. *There's not enough space to sit down on the balcony – although we still think it's a nice spot to relax *The apartment lacks a proper living area and there's no sofa here *There's a lift to reach the apartment floor *A laptop-friendly workspace ...

    The Divine Other

In picturesque Borgo, this apartment puts you a short walk away from icons like Castel Sant'Angelo and St. Peter's Basilica. Sidewalk cafes, local eateries, and cobblestone streets are the norm in this location, and you’re not far on foot from all the major tourist attractions. When you’re not out and about, however, make yourself comfortable back home. White and brown tiles add a whimsical touch to the practical living space – though it’s worth noting that two guests will sleep on the double sofa bed. The other two bedrooms have Netflix and plenty of space, making this a great option for families and small groups of friends. *At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the double sofa bed in the living area. *Although this home isn't suitable for infants under 2 years old, your host can provide a cot if needed. *Your host provides a free pocket wi-fi to use when out and about. *Free street parking is available in the area,...

    The Roman Sun

The ideal Roman retreat, this apartment is mere moments from the Colosseum. You couldn't ask for a better vantage point if sightseeing is on your to-do list. Outside, you'll find the famous landmark at the end of the street, plus nearby public transportation makes it easy to explore further afield. The apartment itself is on the first floor of a 17th-century building. There's a compact kitchenette suitable for snacks, a bright living area with a glimpse of the Colosseum, and a sofa bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. The local area can be a little noisy, and there isn't a lift, but we think it's a solid option for short stays. *At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. *If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot upon request. *This apartment is on the first floor of a historic building without a lift. Luogo d'Olive

Perched next to the synagogue and the river, Luogo d’Olive is right at the heart of the old Jewish quarter. It’s full of designer furniture, from the Mangiarotti dining table to the Stilnovo chandelier, and this gives it a sense of luxury. However, the abundance of natural light stops any of the design from feeling too heavy or overwhelming, which is always a bit of a risk when decking out a flat with such high-end things. *There's a lift but it starts on the first floor, so you'll have to climb one flight of stairs. *Two guests will be on a sofa bed in the living room. *The bathroom doesn't have any windows. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *This is a much-used home and so shows some signs of wear and tear. *The shower pressure here isn't the strongest. Pan's Place

Deep within the narrow, medieval streets of Rome, this period building hides a surprisingly modern apartment for up to five guests. It's not a huge space but it's been cleverly configured to make the most of what it has – and to make it feel comfortable and high-end at the same time. Decorated in on-trend whites, creams and greys, it's bright and fresh. The kitchenette is stowed away in a cupboard-like space in the living room and while it's perfect for the basics, it's not going to appeal to keen home cooks – but this is Rome, and some of the best restaurants, cafes and bars in the world are right on your doorstep. Our favourite feature of this home is the view onto the charming Piazza dei Satiri outside. And while we're talking location, the famous Campo de’ Fiori market is just around the corner. *The building doesn't have a lift, so you'll have to climb the stairs *The second bedroom has a pull-down bed and may be used a...

    Meadowlark

Just off Via Veneto - the glamorous, but fading, heart of La Dolce Vita - Meadowlark has a welcoming structure with a few nice, unique touches, like the arched window frames. There’s also a small balcony, and while it can get a little noisy from the traffic below, it’s still a lovely spot for breakfast. As a whole, it needs a bit of love - the kitchen in particular, and a few of the carpets are a bit dusty - but there’s enough quality in all the fittings that we can look past that and appreciate Meadowlark for what it is. *The kitchen is big but it's not in the best shape - the water pressure is a bit weak and the stoves were a little tired *The smaller bathroom doesn't have any windows *There's a busy street outside so get ready for a bit of traffic noise during the day *Guests 5 and 6 will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air Conditioning Balcony Bathrobes Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Central Heating<br...

Step out of your building’s front door to be immediately greeted by the Colosseum at the end of the road. It’s an unrivalled location and despite neighbouring a global landmark, the quieter street retains a local charm. Inside, the apartment is wonderfully maintained with thoughtful design. The original character of the property shines – timber beams have been lovingly restored and counterpoint some of the more modern touches. We particularly liked the textured wallpaper above the bed and the matching set of Smeg kitchen appliances. After sipping an espresso and watching the daybreak over the Colosseum from your window, hit the pavements and get a closer look at Rome’s headline acts. The Roman Forum, Arch of Titus and the Via Sacra are all within a ten-minute walk. Plus, museums, piazzas and the iconic Pantheon are a seventeen-minute bus trip or ten-minute taxi ride away. *Child-friendly amenities such as a cot and high chair ...

    Roman Odyssey

This apartment is truly in the heart of Rome. A five-minute walk from Piazza Navona and moments away from Campo de' Fiori, this is the place to be if sightseeing is at the top of your to-do list. You'll find plenty to see and do within walking distance, be it shops and eateries or must-visit landmarks. The apartment is on the second floor and lacks a lift, so you'll have to be comfortable climbing stairs. That said, we think it's a great find. A roomy living area provides ample space to relax, dine together, and even work from home. Just note that the second bedroom is a little snug, making it more suitable for one guest. *This apartment is on the second floor of a building without a lift. You'll need to climb stairs to reach it. *If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair upon request. *While the second bedroom makes for a good night's sleep, the bed does feel a little big for the room....

    Trajan's Hideaway

You’ll find this charming apartment on the narrow, atmospheric Via dei Coronari (officially one of the world’s ten most beautiful streets), right in Rome’s historic centre. It’s just a two-minute stroll to buzzing Piazza Navona where cafés and restaurants spill out onto to pavement and ancient fountains still trickle away. Just across the River Tiber, a fifteen-minute walk takes you to the endless museums and Sistine Chapel at The Vatican. Housed in a building dating back to the 1500s, this apartment still radiates old-world charm which can immediately be felt by the 19th-century aedicule at the entrance. The wooden coffered ceiling and herringbone floor harks back to a bygone age and gilded mirrors and antique furnishings complete the feeling that you’ve stepped into an opulent home in the 19th century. Though it may seem like you’re staying in a museum, the practicalities have been thought of as well, with a full kitchen for your morn...

    Aura of Aurelio

You'll find this apartment fifteen minutes on foot from St. Peter's Basilica. As well as being a thirty-minute walk from the historic city centre, it's close to the parklands of Villa Pamphili – ideal for long strolls and morning jogs. When you're not exploring the Eternal City, take advantage of the terrace back home. There's no better spot to nurse a glass of Italian wine and watch the sunset. Inside, the contemporary design marries perfectly with the traditional craftsmanship. Even with two guests on a sofa bed, we think it's a great option for a Roman getaway. *At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area. *If you’re travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and a high chair for free. Please request these in advance. *This home doesn’t accept groups of young people (up to 21 years old). Air Conditioning Balcony Central Heating Coffee Maker Cot / Crib Dishwashe...

Much like its sister apartment in the same building, Green Jay has an air of nobility that surrounds it. Antique furniture, dark wooden windows, and tiled floors all combine to encapsulate the feeling of elegance, a feeling which is common in Flaminio. This isn’t the place to stay if you want to be in the very middle of the action, but you get a sense of calm and a detachment from the tourist crowds, which is more than worth the extra journey time. *The kitchen was generally well-equipped but it was missing a few smaller appliances like a toaster or an espresso machine *Three people can sleep on sofa beds in the communal areas of the flat *The building has a porter but only during working hours Air Conditioning Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Cot / Crib Dishwasher Dryer Electricity Adaptors Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Fr...

While you’d initially not expect anything out of the ordinary, once you step off the street you can see why Elmer is so special. Beyond the pretty internal courtyard, there are small, multi-coloured accents all over the place, from the figure of a bull on the shelf to the kitchen tiles and the beautiful bathroom sink. It is on the small side, but two would be perfectly comfortable (it can hold four, but you’d have to be ready to share your personal space). *There isn't a lot of privacy in the flat - there are no doors between the bedroom, hallway and bathroom *There's no espresso machine because the host thinks that making a coffee in a moka is an integral part of the Italian experience *Guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the living room *The TV doesn't have English channels Air Conditioning Amazon Prime Balcony Black-Out Blinds Breakfast Included Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide ...

Despite its position in an old, atmospheric square near Campo de’ Fiori, Falconry has been renovated recently, and most of the furniture has been made to measure, making the whole place feel very well crafted. Everything fits together, from the parquet floor to the various lamps, and even the terrace is taken care of, and not an afterthought. High up among the rooftops, it feels like a little refuge from the hectic city below. *The lift only goes up to the sixth floor, so you'll have to climb the stairs for the last stretch *Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room *The bedroom is on the small side Air Conditioning Balcony Black-Out Blinds Blender Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Cleaning Products Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Dishwasher Drying Rack Extra Pillows and Blankets Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Freezer Fridge Hair Dryer Hangers Iron...

    Kalos Charm

Everything about Kalos Charm feels luxurious, from the velvet upholstery to the elegant bathrooms. It’s also in a fantastic position, between Piazza Navona and Piazza di Spagna – two of the most famous squares in the city. And while it’s a decent size, and can hold four people, Maurizio and Fabio have a few other places in the same building, so a larger group could look into renting out more than one at a time. *For longer stays, your hosts might ask you to help out by watering the plants *The building doesn't have a lift, so you'll have to take the stairs to reach the flat *There's no washing machine or dishwasher *Some of the rooms don't get much natural light *There's only one key between four guests for this home *For longer stays, guests may wish to bring additional towels Air Conditioning Breakfast Included Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friend...
