The main draw of Trinity is the unusual layout - three independent apartments all joined together, allowing up to 10 people to travel together but maintain a high degree of privacy. The place is looked after well, and guests are welcomed with wine and plenty of breakfast supplies. The décor might be quite divisive and it is a way out of the city centre - both of these are worth considering but ultimately it offers an experience unlike most others when it comes to renting in Rome. *The interior design won't be to everyone's taste *The surrounding area is fairly residential and not central *There are a few signs of wear and tear around the apartment *Guests 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be on two double sofa beds in the living rooms Air Conditioning Balcony Breakfast Included Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Central Heating Dryer Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Hair Dryer Hangers Iron Ironing Board K...

A Taste of Eternal Life
Step out of your building’s front door to be immediately greeted by the Colosseum at the end of the road. It’s an unrivalled location and despite neighbouring a global landmark, the quieter street retains a local charm. Inside, the apartment is wonderfully maintained with thoughtful design. The original character of the property shines – timber beams have been lovingly restored and counterpoint some of the more modern touches. We particularly liked the textured wallpaper above the bed and the matching set of Smeg kitchen appliances. After sipping an espresso and watching the daybreak over the Colosseum from your window, hit the pavements and get a closer look at Rome’s headline acts. The Roman Forum, Arch of Titus and the Via Sacra are all within a ten-minute walk. Plus, museums, piazzas and the iconic Pantheon are a seventeen-minute bus trip or ten-minute taxi ride away. *Child-friendly amenities such as a cot and high chair ...
This eccentric home is a little gem on the edge of Regola and overlooking the Campo de' Fiori market. It occupies the top floor of a historic fifteenth-century building that once belonged to Vannozza dei Cattanei, courtesan and lover of Cardinal Rodrigo Borgia, whose family crest still adorns the outside. There's no getting away from the fact that the living room is small, but there is just about space for an extra person on the bed. Really, though, this flat is all about the bedroom. The wallpaper is the first thing you notice, but pretty much every detail has been carefully thought through, and they all come together wonderfully. The host, Paola, lives on the same floor of the building, so she's always close by should you need anything during your stay. *The surrounding area is pretty busy both day and night and there might be some noise coming in from the street *One guest can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room ...

Plucked straight from your typical Italian reverie comes this picture-perfect home in the heart of papal Rome. Just a thirty-minute wander to the Vatican City and its glorious St. Peter's Basilica, this location is in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood with a local vibe. Back home, it's a real crowd-pleaser, despite not having a conventional lounge seating area. Come together around the reclaimed wood dining table – complete with elegant ghost chairs – and map out the day's tourist itinerary over a hearty breakfast. It's a well-kept, clean and comfortable space with heaps of Italian passion and charm. Walking around the apartment, you'll notice all the bedrooms come with grand four-poster beds and William Morris floral wallpaper prints that we really loved. Last but certainly not least, you'll have access to a private terrace – we could think of nothing better than watching sunsets out here with a glass of Barolo in hand. Plus, your hos...

This sixth-floor loft apartment does things differently. There’s no TV for starters, and the bedrooms are comfortable, yet not breathtaking. So what caught our discerning eye? Step out onto the 200sq/metre rooftop terrace, overlooking picturesque Rome and all of your questions will be answered. The decked terrace comes with a veranda cover, plenty of sofa seating and a table for alfresco dining – we can think of nothing better than warmer evenings spent out here with friends and family, eating, drinking and laughing as the sun goes down. While there's certainly a Roman rustic charm to the home, with its wooden floorboards and low beamed ceilings, the modern details really bring the living room and kitchen to life. Light pours in through the sleek crittall windows, extending the space out to the terrace and creating a bright and airy kitchen-diner area – the modern breakfast bar is the perfect spot to sip your morning espresso. Situated in Monteverde, this apartment boasts a charming rooftop terrace with plenty of space for you to relax and enjoy alfresco meals. From here, it's a short walk or bus ride to the quirky Trastevere district, with a great selection of pubs, eateries and shops, plus a well-connected Metro station. The home itself is perfectly practical for two or three guests – though the third person will be sleeping on a sofa bed. It's also worth noting that this home is located on the third floor without a lift, so we recommend it for those who can easily manage stairs. *At full occupancy, one person will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. *This home is on the third floor without a lift, so it might not be suitable for people who struggle with stairs. *This home is best suited for those who don't mind hopping on public transport to reach the city centre. *This host doesn't accept bookings from groups of young people. <b...

The small touches really help to elevate Alchemy and give it a sense of character. It’s not the largest space, but the design manages to make the most of what’s available, and there are a few nice features like the Art Deco mirrors. The façade is on the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, which is Rome’s largest square, so it’s very well-placed for the station. The only thing to mention is that the surrounding area doesn’t have a lot of tourists yet, and can sometimes feel a little empty. *The living room is quite small *Tourists aren't very common in the area - so you might feel a bit detached from the action *Guests 3 and 4 would both be on sofa beds Air Conditioning Buzzer / Wireless Intercom Carbon Monoxide Detector Central Heating Child Friendly Coffee Maker Cooking Essentials Dishwasher Electricity Adaptors Extra Pillows and Blankets Fire Extinguisher First Aid Kit Free Parking On Stree...

Instead of the very heart of Trastevere, Sky Queen is a little bit to the north. This is actually a fantastic location – you can avoid the hordes of revellers, and the Vatican is easy to reach, while the river is just at the end of the road. A quieter option in a lovely location, this home is perfect if you're looking for an authentic stay – with all the big attractions within a half-hour walk. The double-height ceiling and the large windows make this place bright and breezy, which is surprisingly rare for this neighbourhood as the narrow streets and old buildings often conspire to keep sunlight away. There's a sense of history, with beamed ceilings, and a modern twist thanks to the mezzanine bedroom floor and the floating stairs. A comfy sofa takes the prime position in the open-plan living space, with a handy desk area and a contemporary kitchen tucked away under the mezzanine. *The bed is on a mezzanine level that's...
