Hollywood Flair
High up on a bluff in Malibu with some of the best far-reaching views of Southern California is this estate perfect for an extravagant retreat or destination wedding. Aside from the endless indoor-outdoor spaces to entertain at this home, its major highlights for us were the two grand pianos and a fully equipped recording studio that are all perfect for a professional rock-star, talent in the making, or a simple music enthusiast who wants to soak up the California creative vibe. For a celebrity-style event, tents are situated nearest the sea on the home’s ten sweeping acres. If it’s just a luxurious Malibu experience you have in mind, the pool and other endless amenities are not too shabby. * If you are looking to host an event, talk to the host first as this might incur an extra charge* The home is located in a gated neighborhood (extremely private and protected) that includes a private beach club and tennis courts Air ConditioningA...

Modern, chic and filled with natural light, this clean-cut home offers space for up to four guests to stay right in the centre of the affluent Beachwood Canyon neighbourhood. Situated steps from the Hollywood sign, this area retains that old LA feel. Explore multiple walking, running and cycling trails up in the Hollywood Hills, very nearby. It's also a great area for sightseeing, with Hollywood Boulevard less than a five-minute drive from your front door. After a day spent exploring, the home itself is a peaceful retreat, with scented candles and curated houseplants dotted around each room. The space feels contemporary and organic, with plenty of room to spread out and lots of light coming in through the large windows. Sink into the green velvet sofa with a good book or gather for a meal in the minimalist dining area – this home offers everything needed for a relaxing stay in Tinseltown. *Due to its location next to the Hollywood sign...

Bearcat was born in the roaring twenties but has been carefully reimagined as a modern living arrangement. Some parts of the original setup have survived, like the study with a lovely view of the surroundings – with a typewriter to inspire your creative side – and the occasional retro-futuristic hints. This is a bright home with an atypical layout which means each room has its own character, but the whole look is neatly tied together. Bearcat is a great home for those on their first trip to Los Angeles and we recommend starting your day on the balcony, watching the city wake up over a nice cup of coffee. Avoid the rush hour and drive to Downtown LA a little later, soaking in the sights and exploring the culinary scene. In the evening, return to your not-so-humble abode and relax in the lounge while watching a classic Hollywood movie. * You'll be too far to walk to the attractions — a car is a must-have if you want to get around * As th...

Tucked away in historic Wellington Square, this stylish studio is ideally placed to explore all that Los Angeles has to offer. Located in Mid City LA, you’re just a short drive from Hollywood, Downtown and the beach, making this one of the city’s most accessible areas. The quaint, family-friendly neighbourhood boasts palm-lined boulevards, though there is always a healthy dose of life on the main streets. Be sure to visit West Pico Boulevard for excellent restaurants within a twenty-minute walk or head to Midtown Crossing Shopping Centre for everything else you could need. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, you’ll be glad to return to the peace and quiet of your Mid City base at the end of the day. This loft-style studio features a gentle grey colour scheme that is contrasted by the deep wood of the ceiling, creating a chic and relaxing space to call home. For some fresh air, enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the...
Los Loros is made for living outdoors. There are several terraces, split over different levels, with fantastic views, and the amount of greenery around keeps the whole place feeling private. When you’re out in the open air, you can hear the parrots chattering (and at night, you can even hear owls). The home dates back to the 30s, and is an excellent example of Spanish Revival architecture, but it’s been done up inside recently, with a mixture of furniture and objects from around the world. If you’re planning to explore LA (and let’s be honest, of course you are), it’s only a five-minute walk to Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame, while the rest of the city is in easy reach. Universal Studios and West Hollywood are both a short drive away, and even Santa Monica can be reached in half an hour. * There’s a laundry room that's usually available during longer stays, but is currently out of action due to COVID-19* During a longer stay,...

If you're the sort of person that likes everything to be taken care of for them when they're staying in a new city, this serviced apartment in Westwood will be the stuff of dreams. The home itself is super bright thanks to an entire wall covered in windows and the LA sunshine dances wonderfully off the wooden floor and sleek kitchen surfaces. There's a gas fireplace for turning on in the chillier months — SoCal's version of chilly, anyway — and the large bedrooms finished in dark colours and check carpeting are instantly comfy. However, it's the amenities and services available to guests in the building that are perhaps most impressive. There's a fitness centre in the building for working up a sweat first thing in the morning and a rooftop terrace with a barbecue for the other end of the day. Guests can also take advantage of twenty-four-seven dry cleaning, daily housekeeping and in-suite massages, as well as a whole host of other servi...
