The Casinha da Pena is in the village of Pedreira, 5km from the Templar city of Tomar. The name drift from the fact that it is two steps away from the viewpoint of Pena, overlooking the Nabão Valley. It is an old country house, recovered, having been returned to the traces and character of erstwhile. The cozy courtyard and the several stone details that give it authenticity stands out. Leaving Tomar and following the Estrada do Prado, skirting the banks of the Rio Nabão, you arrive at the picturesque village of Pedreira, whose name derives from the fact that it is here that some of the stones that helped to build the Convento de Cristo (heritage world) in Tomar.
