Peace- We have a studio apartment available for rent in the back of our home in the Allendale neighborhood, 2 blocks from the laurel. We are looking for a kind, respectful, and trustworthy person to rent the converted studio in the back of our house. You will also have access to backyard space. I am a High School PE Teacher and Athletic Director, my wife is an Equity Consultant and Adjunct Faculty focusing on the intersection of arts and social change. We have a 4 year old child who is not yet employed. The studio is super nice (check photos) and the overall property is beautiful. We will be building gardening planter boxes in the front for veggie growing and are down to collaborate on the gardening if you're into it. It's a sweet corner house on a nice block and walking distance to The laurel for bars, restaurants, cafes, and good vibes. The rent is $1650 plus a flat rate of $50 per month for all utilities (electricity, gas, water, internet), so $1700 is what you'll pay each month and that's it. If you wanted cable TV, you would cover it because we don't have that. We are looking for someone for a long-term rental, but can be flexible if necessary. It is currently furnished (as shown in pictures) but we may be able to be flexible with this. We are looking for a non-cigarette smoker who is about peace, positivity, doing good in the world, being responsible with rent and the shared spaces. If this sounds like you, let's connect.
