CASONA CHIlEKATESSEN is built on one of the hills of Valparaiso, favored with a beautiful view of the entire bay from the bed and terraces. The house has 6 rooms, three of which are for clients, large common spaces, beautifully decorated and comfortable, offering the passenger a unique stay in a cheerful atmosphere that makes them feel truly at home. My name is María Teresa, I live with my 10-year-old son Uwe, sometimes foreign exchange students also accompany us. I traveled 15 years in Europe, I lived 7 years in France and then in Scotland. I currently live in Chile and manage an alternative eco-tourism project on my property, focused on recycling, energy conservation, adding permaculture, the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, aromatic herbs, the gastronomic world and the arts. Due to the current health situation we have reduced to receiving one client at a time. All this to offer security for our client and family at home.

Tout d'abord merci a Maria pour son accueil, j'ai passé en tout 1mois et 2 semaines dans sa maison sur les hauteurs de Valparaíso, le cadre est magnifique, vous avez accès à toute les pièces de la maison et l'atmosphère a l'intérieur de cette dernière y est très agréable et reposante! Maria et son fils Uwe sont des personnes avec qui il fait bon vivre. Si vous avez des questions n'hésitez pas! Maria pourra vous renseigner de la meilleure de manière pour que votre séjour soit des plus appréciable. Si vous souhaitez visiter Valparaíso, n'hésiter pas à joindre l'utile a l'agréable en séjournant chez elle !

J‘ai passé un très bon moment chez Maria Teresa. J’étais très content d’avoir trouvé une jolie place pour me détendre et de prendre le temps pour soi-même. La chambre avec un vue magnifique sur la mer du matin au soir... qu’est ce qu’on veut de plus? :-) Maria Teresa ma montré beaucoup de choses de la ville, on est aussi allé aussi plusieurs fois à Viña del Mar. Je suis plongé dans la vie quotidienne des chiliens. Maria Teresa parle tres bien français et dans plusieurs situations ca ma beaucoup aidé car mon espagnol n’est pas assez bien. Je me suis senti très bien dans la maison. C’est une maison avec beaucoup de charme et aussi son fils donne le goût d’une vie de famille. J’ai bien aimé! Je recommande tout a fait cette jolie place avec des personne magnifiques qui font tout pour qu’on se sent bien comme a la maison. Merci beaucoup pour tout!!!

Maria ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Von den Zimmern aus hat man einen wirklich schönen Blick auf Stadt und Bucht. Ich habe mich zu jeder Zeit sehr wohlgefühlt und kann es jedem empfehlen.

Maria and her son are exceptional hosts. I felt very well in the house and just the charm of Valparaiso comes through the exposed location of the house very well. She has a good feeling that the guest feels comfortable in his way of life and gets a new perspective of the country or the environment and its inhabitants. That's what matters to me when traveling to foreign cultures. This is something special and I can recommend to anyone with a clear conscience if he wants to visit Valparaiso to do so with Maria.

I spent a good time in home’s Maria. She always supporting me, giving informations, advices. I learned some things about the local culture. Our breakfasts were lovely. She has a nice boy. By the way, my experience was very good. Pasé un buen rato en casa de María. Ella siempre me apoya, brindando información y consejos. Aprendí algunas cosas sobre la cultura local. Nuestros desayunos eran encantadores. Ella tiene un buen chico. Por cierto, mi experiencia fue muy buena.

Ich habe vom 20.11 bis 27.11 eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem Haus verbracht. Maria Teresa ist es gelungen das ich mich wie ein Familienmitglied fühlte. Das Haus ist geschmackvollen, rustikalen, eingerichtet, mit vielen offenem Wohnraum, der Gäste zum Aufendhalt einlädt. Der wild angelegte Garten, mit Kräuterbeet und Obstbäumen ist ideal zum Abspannen und erholen geeignet. Das Frühstück war reichlich, täglich wechselnde Varianten mit selbst gebackenem Brot, Marmelden aus dem Obstgarten, vegetarisch oder Eier nach Wunsch. Die Lage des Hauses ist ca 2km vom Touristischem Zentrum entfernt. Maria ist am ersten Tag einen Rundgang mit mir gelaufen und hat alle Verkehrsmöglichkeiten, wie Busse, "Collectivos" (Sammeltaxis) und Stadtbahn erklärt und die Haltestellen gezeigt. Sie half mir auch ein Lokale SIM-Karte für mein Telefon einzurichten. Maria spricht sehr gut Englisch, somit kommen auch Gäste ohne Spanisch Kenntnisse gut zurecht. Ein Sicherheitsrisiko gibt es in der Nachbarschaft nicht. Bei meinem nächsten Besuch werde ich dort wieder wohnen.

The location is perfect, close to the town but far enough up the hill to provide a view that beats that of Pablo Neruda! Maria is such an amazing host/tour guide/mum! She will take you to the best places in Valpo to experience amazing food, scenery and culture. It is like a home away from home and I miss it already! X
