Later on, sprawl out on the outdoor sofa for a snooze in the sun or simply sit with a cocktail and admire the views of the sea in the distance. As the night starts to roll in, fire up the barbecue for an alfresco feast, then pour yourself a cocktail and spend the evening chatting and laughing underneath the star-scattered sky.
It's the location, however, that's even better. It's just a three-minute walk to Parasporos Beach, where you can nibble on snacks at the waterfront tavernas or swim in the crystal clear ocean. For a bit more buzz, the capital, Parikia (also known as Paros) is only five minutes by car – head there for chic cocktail bars, pretty cobbled lanes lined with boutique shops and trendy eateries right by the sea.
