We love how much greenery surrounds this home, and how it can make you appreciate the simple things in life as you take a long walk through the flora, breathing in the fresh air and listening to the bird's chirp. The wooden beams definitely give this home the character it deserves, as do the shutters that can be opened to let in light as you gaze out over the trees of an ancient noble villa.
When you want to be a part of the city's hustle and bustle, take the sixteen-minute drive to Lucca and bike along the city walls, losing yourself in the history of what would've been, before indulging in some retail therapy in the Old Town. Admire Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, a magnificent square constructed on the ruins of the ancient Roman amphitheatre that spreads a mix of historical beauty and true Italian flavour – stop for a bite to eat in the courtyard with innumerable cafes and restaurants.
