Villa D'Azur

Brand new 2 bedroom apartment in the exclusive, recently built Monachetto complex. Surrounded by luxury penthouses in a complex containing an outdoor, swimming pool for the private use of residents, the apartment has been furnished to a high standard with quality fittings throughout. The apartment sleeps 6 comfortably in 2 double bedrooms and a king-size sofa bed. The complex is located in the charming French town of Beausoleil, just a few hundred metres from Monaco.
The modern kitchen has a crystal-white stone work bench with touch induction cook top, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. There is a large combined washing machine/dryer provided in the laundry. The spacious living area has a large 6-place dining table that can fold out if required when entertaining. A luxurious white leather sofa bed provides for comfortable relaxation in front of a large wide-screen TV. There are four separate air conditioners located in the kitchen, living area and both bedrooms. Private WiFi is provided along with satellite TV.
The main bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed and ample storage space provided by built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom has 2 neat bunk beds with built-in wardrobes. Both ensuites have showers and wash basins with heated towel racks. A separate toilet provides for guest convenience. A travel cot and high chair are also supplied.
The living room and bedrooms have full length glass doors overlooking a beautiful flowered private garden. The living room opens onto a patio decking with sun lounges provided to enjoy the wonderful views of Monaco Harbour and the blue Mediterranean provided by the south-west facing vista. The apartment is accessed via security gate and private lift. There is a secure garage underneath the complex, with direct access to the apartment via lift.
It is an easy walk down the hill to Beausoleil town centre and Monaco itself. There are regular reliable buses that stop directly outside the apartment that service Monaco and surrounding areas. Beausoleil and Monaco share a train station which is within walking distance from the apartment so you can easily explore the French Riviera. There are many bakeries, cafés and restaurants tucked away on the winding streets of Beausoleil and Monaco.

Arriving at the apartment having driven from England we were delighted to find it in great condition, as if brand new, and with a stunning view of Port Hercule below. There is a designated parking space in the labyrinthine car park. We quickly saw why most locals favour small cars - space is extremely limited and everything is built into the mountainside, including this apartment building. It's quite difficult to spot as all you see from the road is a gate so could benefit from a clear sign. The apartment itself is small but the balcony is big and beautiful. It's actually a small garden, with grass and a tree so great for kids. It's by far the best 'balcony' I've ever experienced. There is a large gas BBQ which we put to good use, a couple of sun loungers and outside chairs. The kitchen area, while small, has a fantastic induction hob and a microwave. The hob is so fast and efficient that rustling up a quick meal is absolutely no bother. There is also a full sized dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The fridge is small but we managed to store quite a lot of food in there. The only criticism is that there is only one toilet in this apartment. While there are indeed two en-suites, they contain showers and basins only. The 'guest toilet' is in fact the only one. With five of us sharing the apartment - and the inevitable bouts of 'holiday tummy' - it proved very impractical to only have one loo. There is plenty of space in the master bedroom en-suite for another so we wondered why a second hadn't been included. The apartment is marketed towards a maximum of six people as there is a double bed in the master bedroom, bunk beds in the second and a double sofa bed in the lounge. But the single toilet really doesn't stand up to this idea. A second loo would have made a huge difference to us so I would suggest a couple with two kids as the maximum number comfortably as it stands. This apartment is very new and when we arrived it was poorly equipped with glasses, blankets etc. However the manager, Sarah, was great. I emailed her and she provided us with all the extra things we needed very quickly. She was courteous, helpful and very easy to communicate with. There is an outdoor, unheated pool which, while very pleasant to sit around, was too cold for swimming in May. I'm sure by June/July the water would be fine. You might want to ask where they keep the extra sun loungers down on the pool deck as we found only two! From the listing, we believed there was also an indoor, heated pool. This is not the case. There is another pool in the adjacent building that can be used by guests at Villa D'Azur but it is neither indoor nor heated. On one listing on another site, it also says that there are spa facilities such as a jacuzzi and sauna. I didn't find any. Beausoleil is directly above Monaco and when I say 'directly above' I mean it! For those new to the geography of this part of the world, be prepared for a climb. Ours was a fit party happy to feel the burn in our hamstrings and chests on the way back up the hill. But the public defibrillators on each, narrow street bisecting the endless flights of steps told a different story. There are local buses and there is a bus stop almost right outside the apartment gate. There are also taxi phones dotted around the city where you can literally call a taxi for free. But as we were there for the Grand Prix taxis and buses were busy and disrupted, so we walked everywhere therefore I can't comment on the service of either. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Beausoleil. Sarah's quick response to our needs for more glasses etc really made a difference. The garden balcony was a huge bonus and the views are stunning. I do think for a couple this apartment is ideal, particularly if they have kids and represents good value for money. Adding a second toilet in the master en-suite would make a huge difference to groups of friends wishing to stay here.

I recently stayed here whilst working at the Grimaldi Forum. I stayed for 6 nights with a colleague. The apartment is really nice, well finished and had everything we could need and more. The bonus of having a private garden was, as already stated, a bonus! If you are wanting to stay here I would highly recommend it, but would be prepared to walk up and down stairs all day, but then that's Monaco for you. As for the organising of the trip, Sarah was very helpful, especially as we got hopelessly lost trying to find the place (our fault not Sarahs) which meant that she went above and beyond and actually drove all around the winding roads in order to locate us and take us to the property, thanks Sarah!

Well located apartment with lovely views over Monaco and the sea. Good secure parking and complex with lovely swimming pool. Relaxing and quiet location with sunny balcony. Well equipped apartment with tv, wi-fi, cooking facilities and en suite bathrooms. Had a lovely family holiday thank you x.

The apartment is a bit difficult to find, but once you’re there it’s amazing. The apartment block itself is lovely, well presented with a nice pool, although there were no loungers there on the day we went, but it didn’t bother us because we just chilled out in the pool. The apartment is lovely and the agent, Sarah, was really friendly and made us feel really welcome, even giving us a great tip for a nearby restaurant. The apartment was nice and clean, very spacious, and has a massive balcony with a big gas BBQ and plenty of outdoor furniture for chilling out. The location is spot on - about a 10 minute walk to Monaco train station, which is pretty much the centre of Monaco. It’s all via steps, so the walk back up gets the legs working. All in all I really recommend this apartment and would gladly stay there again.

Es war ein fantastischer Ort. Die ganze Residenz war sehr ordentlich und sehr sauber. Die Wohnung war auch sehr sauber und voll klimatisiert. Die Wohnung hatte auch einen großen Terrasse mit einer sehr schönen Ausblick über Monaco. Die Frau Sarah K war wirklich sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn man zu den Bergen geschaut hat, konnte man ein Observer an der rechten Seite sehen, das war ziemlich interessant. Es war einfach fantastisch. Mit dem Auto war die Innenstadt in Monaco sehr nah, es hat ca. 3 Minuten gedauert. Die Ferienwohnung ist ideal für Familien und verfügt über einen tollen Pool. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder dahin gehen, es hat sich sehr gelohnt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Ich kann euch die Wohnung nur ans Herz legen, kann Sie euch nur weiter empfehlen.
