    Pink Parakeet

Every room has a different character in this Vesterbro home. We love the glamorous Hollywood Regency-inspired materials in the living room that mixes well with an exquisite 1960s teak cupboard. Pink Parakeet is artistic to perfection – and it’s fun to see how trivial art mixes with artsy exhibition posters for a new and personal look. The bedrooms are largely bohemian in style, offering plants, colourful patterns, and cosy bedspreads aplenty. * The host lives in this home so you’ll find some of her personal items left in the flat – clothes and toiletries etc* There’s no lift up to this fourth-floor home, be prepared to climb up the seventy-five steps with your luggage* Due to its rooftop position the home can get quite hot in the summer – it doesn’t have any air conditioning!* Bedroom two is a lot smaller than the master bedroom* One of the beds is a sofa bed so the fifth guest will have to sleep in the communal area* There's only one ...

    The Wood Lace

Modern and practical, this apartment will make exploring the Danish capital a delight. Located in bustling Indre By, you're a short walk from most of Copenhagen's top sights, including Rosenborg Castle and Kongens Have Park. At home, the minimalist interiors will help you unwind after sightseeing adventures and there's a small balcony which serves as the perfect spot for evening drinks. Keep in mind that this is a studio apartment with an additional bedroom, so it's best suited for a close cohort of friends or a family. It's also worth noting that at full capacity, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the communal area – though we think this would be a bit of a squeeze. *At full occupancy, two people will be sleeping on a double sofa bed in the living area – though we think this would feel a little cramped. *This is a studio apartment with an additional bedroom so it lacks some privacy. *Given the home's central spot, expect ...

Right on the bank of Peblinge Lake, this apartment's location is hard to fault. Being this close to water is as idyllic as it sounds – we loved starting our day with a stroll along The Lakes. If you're looking to explore Copenhagen's scenic streets yet still want to be close to all the action in the centre, this is the spot to be – The Round Tower, Rosenborg Castle and the Strøget are less than twenty minutes on foot, while gastronomic delights and cafes await around every corner. We adored the old building, and although the interior is more modern, it's got all the Danish atmosphere you would expect. Everything is decorated in a neutral colour scheme with some vintage French farmhouse touches. The breezy kitchen is well-stocked for cooking, the bedrooms are as comfortable as they are stylish and the bathroom is large and glossy. After a wander around the city, rest weary legs on the squishy sofa and relax with a glass of wine, admiring...

    Timeless Treasure

Set in Copenhagen's design district, with happening art galleries and wander-worthy antique shops all within walking distance, it's no wonder this apartment's central location is a huge highlight. While the listed apartment building's exteriors are charming, the home's minimalist interiors aren't overly characterful and a little unconventional in places. Expect high ceilings in the living area, compact bedrooms with quirky internal windows, and a pocket-sized kitchen better suited to breakfasts and lighter bites. But with a bakery next door and restaurants aplenty close by, we don't think you'll mind. *The second bedroom has twin beds which can be joined to make a double if you prefer. *Both bedrooms are small, with limited storage space. It’s also worth noting the bedrooms have internal windows, which are for decorative purposes only and do not open.*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better s...

    Nordic Muse

This modern apartment is ideal for business trips or long weekends to Denmark’s capital. Situated in the Indre By district, bars, restaurants and shops are on the doorstep. If you want to explore other neighbourhoods, the Kongens Nytorv metro station is a short walk away. At capacity, four guests will sleep in the living area, so we’d recommend this place for groups who are always on the go. When you do have some downtime, the full kitchen has everything you need for home cooking. *At capacity, four guests will sleep in the living space – two guests will sleep on a sofa bed.*Your host kindly asks that noise is kept to a minimum from 10pm to 8am.*Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. Technicolour Voyage

It’s hard to put a home like Technicolour Voyage into words – it simply needs to be experienced. Brimming with all kinds of art from international artists as well as some of the host’s own works, walking around this home is a dynamic experience filled with excitement, tactility, liveable and interactive pieces of art. This home is experimental to its bone, and it directly calls into question what art is. If you’re a curious soul with an eye for art, we’re sure you’ll feel right at home at Technicolour Voyage, and perhaps you’ll even spark up a conversation or two. * There aren’t any black-out blinds in the master bedroom – if you’re a light sleeper, you should look elsewhere* It’s a lived-in home with plenty of character, so expect to share the space with many of the host’s belongings from clothes to interactive artworks* Some of the furniture is worn and has some stains* Bedroom two is located on a loft - it's not suited for children ...

    Velvet Underground

Situated a five-minute cycle ride from downtown, this trendy apartment is close to the heart of the action yet set apart enough from the touristic throngs. Inside, it’s full of charming details and harmonising colours—the jewel-blue sofa, neon orange cushions and yellow Pop Art banana make for a visually pleasing combination. The dinky kitchen is set up for quick meals at home, but when you’re in the food capital of Scandinavia, eating out is impossible to resist. Copenhagen is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world so getting about is a piece of cake. Rent your own set of wheels and take the six-minute journey to the Danish masterpieces in the Hirschsprung Collection or pedal ten minutes over the river to the picturesque Christianshavn neighbourhood. Oh, and your home is located right on the Crown Prince’s preferred biking route, so don’t be surprised when he whizzes past you on his bicycle! *Storage space is limited in thi...

    Science Fiction

Filled with personal artwork and trinkets, Science Fiction is extremely characterful. It’s the kind of home where you feel like you get to know the host, even though he’s not around. It also has high ceilings, beautiful stucco detailing, and a hammock for lazy days. The immediate area is full of things to do. Østerbro is incredibly family-friendly, especially if you’re looking for lovely green parks, artisanal bakeries, and charming restaurants. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with a lot of the host’s belongings (toys, photos, clothes)*The bathroom is a little tired–looking – there’s no shower curtain and the shower is also handheld*The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up scuff marks*It’s on the fourth floor with no lift – be prepared for some up and down*The rooftop is shared between all residents of the building*The bed in bedroom two is very narrow*If travelling with children, the host can provide two a...

    Bumblebee - Sapphire

With its yellow and blue theme, Bumblebee \u0026 Sapphire definitely has a lively side. Yes, it’s small, but the space is used in a nice way that makes it seem a lot bigger than it actually is. The Vissevasse posters and decorative HAY pillows add a playful touch to the home, which we really enjoy. Amagerbro is calm and it's a short metro ride from Amager Strandpark and Amager Fælled, some of Copenhagen's most beloved nature spots. *We know we’re picky, but this home is a little small – there’s not a lot of space for unpacking your suitcase*This home is at street level*Amagerbro is lovely, but it's on the calm side – guests looking to be within walking distance to Nyhavn should look elsewhere Access to BeachBalcony / PatioBicyclesBlenderBoard GamesBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCleaning ProductsCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDryerDrying RackFreezerFridgeGardenHair DryerHangersIronIroning BoardKettleKitchenKitchen UtensilsLapt...

    Misty Mountains

This home is definitely not going to win any prizes for character (the design is on the generic side of things), but it's modern, clean, and quietly stylish. It also represents great value for a group of friends who aren't fussed about not being right in the centre of town. The harbour-side location is lovely, and there's a little outdoor space too. * There's only one bathroom and you need to go through the kitchen to reach it from the bedrooms* The bathroom is not the most luxurious we've ever seen* Both bedrooms are set up with twin beds - not the ideal home for a romantic break!* It's on the ground floor which compromises privacy a bit (especially in the outdoor space) and means that there isn't a huge amount of natural light in the kitchen/dining area* It's a newly created neighbourhood so if you want the romance of old Copenhagen then you might want to look elsewhere BalconyBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCooking Essenti...

    Cloud Underground

If you end up staying in Cloud Underground, you’ll be getting some very fancy neighbours. Amalienborg Palace (the Danish queen’s home) is just down the road – and it’s actually also located along the Crown Prince’s preferred biking route, so don’t be scared if he whizzes past you. With its Scandinavian-meets-industrial vibe, it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming home to at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Oh, and did we forget to mention that it’s within walking distance to everyone’s favourite statue, The Little Mermaid? *This home sleeps five people, but one of them would ideally be a child (there’s a single bed in the master bedroom)*The kitchen is on the smaller side – ideal for preparing light meals/snacks, not ideal for cooking feasts*The French doors look beautiful and bring in a lot of light, but they don’t provide a lot of privacy in the bedrooms*There’s carpet in the kitchen, which isn’t practical – and it mi...

    Seaside Delight

Nature and beach lovers will no doubt adore this home's location. The beachfront Amager Strand is nearby, yet Copenhagen's city centre is just three stops on the Metro to Kongens Nytorv. The airport is a ten-minute drive, too, so this place is ideal for a weekend break or business trip. Back at this apartment, enjoy the panoramic views of the azure waters from the private terrace or unwind in the living space. At full capacity, two people will be on a sofa bed in the living area adjacent to one of the bedrooms, which, although it has a frosted glass partition, is not very private. *Guests five and six would be on a sofa bed in the living area – if you're looking for a home with ample space for socialising and privacy, we'd recommend this home for four guests only.*There's a private terrace and shared garden area.*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. City Explorer

Situated in the heart of Copenhagen, this apartment provides a perfectly practical space for groups visiting the city. Tivoli Gardens is less than a ten-minute walk away, while nearby Ørstedsparken is a great spot for escaping the city buzz. The master bedroom can be set up with twin single beds upon request and the double sofa bed adds flexibility. Just keep in mind that the second bedroom is partly open to the living area, so it lacks some privacy. Otherwise, the two large bathrooms will help to speed mornings along, so you can head out and spend more time exploring all that the Danish capital has to offer. *Your host operates several apartments here, so the exact view, layout and furnishings might differ slightly from the photos. However, the overall quality should remain the same. *You'll be able to check yourself in here.*At full occupancy, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. *The second bedroom is open t...

    Nyhavn Soul

This Copenhagen bolthole may be pocket-sized, but it would work well for two friends or colleagues looking for a central base to lay their heads. There's little space for socialising, with no living room to speak of. But each bedroom has a cushy chair and the dining banquette in the compact kitchen is a cosy spot for breakfast, and the bakery nearby will keep the pastries flowing. Outside, Nyhavn's buzzy cafes and restaurants are just around the corner. Kongens Nytorv Metro Station is also within easy reach, ready for you to blaze a trail across the city. *This home is located on the third floor. There’s no lift access, so be prepared to climb some stairs. *This home does not have a living area. However, the kitchen has space to get together around the dining table, and each bedroom has a TV and armchair to put your feet up. *You won't find an oven or stove here – though there is a microwave. While it works to prepare quick breakfasts,...

    A Noble Touch

We're not going to lie – this top floor apartment is a bit of a climb. But once you reach the top, we promise the views of Round Tower and Trinitatis Church are totally worth the effort. With sloped ceilings, exposed wooden beams and original doors, the character of the building isn't lost, and the clean, minimal Nordic design only enhances the charm. We loved relaxing under the eaves, kicking back on the sofa for a Netflix night and rustling up nibbles in the sleek kitchen. Even better is the hotel-quality service, allowing you to have the best of both worlds. The virtual 24/7 concierge can answer any questions, while your hosts are more than happy to arrange reservations at some of Copenhagen's best eateries as well as bike rentals if you want to cycle. And the location? Terrific. It's in the centre of Copenhagen, right down the street from Rosenborg Castle and Kongens Have gardens. Strøget is only a few minutes away – perfect for sho...

    Magical Realism

There’s something very Scandinavian about Magical Realism – and yet, it’s not Scandinavian at all. The use of colour is bold and not something we see often in Copenhagen, but the references to nature through materials, textures and the more downplayed hues remind us of Scandinavian forests and fjords. It’s right in the heart of Copenhagen, so you won’t have to walk far to experience Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv or Strøget – a downside to its central location is that it might get noisy at night. *This home is old and typical of this part of Copenhagen – expect some sloped ceilings and uneven floors*There’s no space on the side of the bed in bedroom two as it’s been made to fit into the corner*The home has a peculiar layout – you have to walk through bedroom one to get to bedroom two*The windows are not soundproof – expect to hear some noise coming from the street*Both bathrooms are a little tired-looking, they could do with an update*Since th...

    Under The Sky

This colourful home in the Danish capital is a great place to share with your loved ones. The quirky top-floor apartment includes a collection of books and board games instead of a TV – encouraging you to enjoy a cosy evening reminiscent of the good ol’ days. Situated in a residential neighbourhood, the apartment offers some peace and quiet, while a ten-minute metro ride takes you right into the bustling city centre. Here you’ll find a large variety of places worth visiting such as Rosenborg Castle, Tivoli Gardens or the picturesque Nyhavn, as well as plenty of bars and eateries. *Parking in Copenhagen can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible. That said, we think the best way to see the city is on foot.\u2028*Avoid wearing heels inside the home, as they’ll easily leave marks in the soft pine wooden floorboards. There’s also lots of antique furniture around, so avoid using hot or w...

    Harbourview Haven

This modern Bryggen Syd apartment is perfect for a waterfront Copenhagen stay. Known for its swimming canals, this neighbourhood is a new development next to Islands Brygge, so you can expect plenty of opportunities for swimming, kayaking and drinking by the water. There’s a gym in the building, as well as a rooftop terrace – just the spot for sharing Danish craft beers. Inside this home, you’ll find a minimal and practical space with an inviting dining area and a private balcony. Your host can configure the bedrooms how you’d like, just let them know if you’d prefer a king-sized or twin-single arrangement. *Your host operates several apartments here, so the exact view, layout and furnishings might differ slightly from the photos. A Lordly Touch

Set against the picture-perfect backdrop of Indre By, Copenhagen’s most central and historic district, this pristine apartment is spot on for travellers who want to be in the thick of it all. On top of being in an unbeatable location, this place delivers some serious style. Designed with a sleek Scandinavian look in mind, there's a minimalist colour palette throughout and a generous helping of natural light. Housed in a handsome period property typical of this neighbourhood, nowadays this building is home to a selection of exclusive serviced apartments. There's a 24-hour virtual concierge should you need anything – from booking a table at one of the city's most happening restaurants or organising bicycle hire for cruising about the city. Amager Escape

Just a stroll from Amager Strandpark, you'll find this apartment. Imagine going for a morning swim or walking on the beach daily – bliss. There's a bakery, café and restaurant on your doorstep, too, while the airport is a few minutes' ride away, making this place the ideal weekend retreat. Back at this home, there's a communal gym to keep up with your fitness regime. Or relax on the small patio area (it's open to the communal grounds, so it's not that private). Also, at full capacity, guest five will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the already fairly compact living space. *Guest five would be on a sofa bed in the living area – if you're looking for a home with ample space for socialising, we'd recommend this home for four guests only.*While the home can sleep up to six people, the maximum occupancy is five guests.*The bed in the second bedroom can be arranged as twins on request.*There's a shared gym area and grounds.*If you're travelling...

    Bryggen Beauty

Sitting right along the banks of Bryggen Syd, this apartment provides a sleek space for families and groups visiting Copenhagen. Now, we think the best way to explore the city is on foot or by bike, though there’s free street parking nearby too. From here, you can swim off Bådelaug Havnestad, enjoy drinks in Christianshavn or soak up some culture in Indre By. The interiors are modern with plenty of light thanks to the glass sliding doors, and we love how the sofa converts to a bed should you be visiting as a larger group. Pictionary

Pictionary is just a five-minute walk away from Copenhagen’s Central station, which means that you’re very well-connected. Vesterbro is also lovely, especially if you’re looking to sample some new restaurants or coffee shops – or want to be in walking distance to Tivoli and Rådhuspladsen. The Conrad

Split across two levels with a wooden ladder connecting the two, this two-bedroom home is ideal for younger travellers looking to be right in the centre of Copenhagen. Even though it lacks in entertainment options, you’ll not have to worry about finding things to do because The Conrad is situated in a repurposed office building on top of Strøget, Copenhagen’s busiest shopping street. * Plant lovers beware - the home is filled with fake plants* There are only two proper bedrooms, so guest 5 and 6 would be on a sofa bed in the living room* The flat is definitely on the smaller and more functional side* It’s an open loft style flat with no doors and an open mezzanine that houses one of the bedrooms, so expect little privacy* The wooden ladder leading up to the mezzanine bedroom is very steep and has no rails, so it’s not suitable for toddlers or older guests* Be aware that this floor is located on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so you wi...

    Nordic Gem

Set in the attractive residential area of Østerbro, this apartment is ideally placed for a business trip or a weekend getaway. Nordhaven's waterfront restaurants and shopping streets are a short walk, while the open green space of Fælledparken is 300m from this home – ideal for letting the kids run wild. Plus, the nearby Metro takes you into the city centre with ease. The home features a dining table that doubles up as a laptop desk, as well as a sofa bed for two people – though we think this might be a bit of a squeeze. Also keep in mind that the kitchenette is very small, which may not be well-suited for longer stays. *You'll be able to check yourself in here.*At full occupancy, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area – though we think this may feel a little cramped. *This home is short on wardrobe space, so we'd recommend packing light. *The kitchen is very small and only suitable for preparing light bites. That...

    Nordic Dream

As expected for an 18th-century Copenhagen home, the layout of this large and oh-so-stylish studio is a little kooky. One bedroom with a handy desk nook is tucked into the eaves on a mezzanine, so it's not the most private of spaces. The living area, which houses a sofa bed for two guests, forms part of the main bedroom. And while the balcony is a bonus, it's pocket-sized. But you can't quibble with the location. Set slap bang in the middle of Indre By, you're within walking distance of all the city's must-sees. Get off to a flying start at the shopping mecca of Strøget – it's right outside your door. *This home sleeps six guests, with the last two guests sleeping on a sofa bed in the living space, which is adjoined to the main bedroom. It's also worth noting the second bedroom is located on a mezzanine level, so it isn't overly private. *The second bedroom has restricted ceiling height in some areas. *This studio is located on the thi...

While the immediate area isn’t typical of Copenhagen (it’s very modern), you’re only a fifteen-minute walk from The Little Mermaid. The waterfront is also just around the corner. High-ceilinged and minimalist with warm undertones, it’s great for families. Although it could do with some wall art here and there, we love that this place makes you feel at home instantly. *It’s a ground floor home with huge windows (there are curtains though) – this might be an issue for some*The walls are a bit bare*The immediate area isn't very lively when it comes to restaurants, bars and coffee shops*When we visited, the curtain in the master bedroom was broken – the host is aware of this*The terrace isn’t cosy or private – it’s also not the most well-maintained*The wifi is a bit slow*The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up scuff marks*The bed in the master bedroom is on the narrow side BarbequeBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingDishw...

Set in a handsome building from 1791, you’ll be minutes from so many of Copenhagen’s best attractions. Both Amalienborg Castle and the Little Mermaid statue are a seven-minute walk away, while the picture-perfect harbour of Nyhavn is just fourteen minutes from home. Catch a glimpse of the stunning Opera house before heading to the neighbourhood’s Copenhagen Bicycles, where you can rent bikes and get around like locals. When you’re back at home you’ll enjoy a luminous and inviting living space with high ceilings and large windows.
