The Art of Milan
All but a five-minute walk to the Corso Venezia – part of the city's upscale Quadrilatero della moda shopping district – this enviable apartment sits right at the heart of the fashion hubbub. Locally, the surrounding area is lovely, benefitting from calm squares, grand architectural statements, and the historic centre is easy to get to on foot – the Duomo di Milano is a twenty-minute stroll away. Back home, you'll find a bright and roomy living space with light neutral tones, soft thoughtful furnishings, chic replica prints and a stylish Castiglioni lamp. The kitchen is colourful and uplifting, with pops of red, plenty of sunlight coming in through the window and a charming dining spot to enjoy breakfast while planning out the day's trips. The bedrooms have their own personalities, with a children's bunk-bed room that will quickly put the kids at ease. *Even though there's a lift, there are eight steps to climb before you reach it<...

Everything about this home is geared towards lovers of minimalism. Your hosts employed an architect to ensure that nothing is present that needn't be, removing the distraction that excess creates to leave a clean and uncluttered space that's perfect for disconnecting and switching off. Any omissions in terms of amenities aren't oversights from the hosts. The hardwood floors, comfy sofa and blonde wood give the apartment a Scandinavian feel. Climbing the ladder up to the mezzanine floor adds a touch of adventure to bedtime that makes you feel like you could be in a cabin in the woods and not central Milan. Given the burgeoning bohemian scene in this part of Milan, that feeling couldn't be more appropriate. Just north of the city centre, Isola marches to the beat of its own drum. The neighb...

3-bedroom apartment in corso 22 marzo
A few steps from Colonne di San Lorenzo and the Basilica di San Lorenzo, this apartment puts you in one of Milan's coolest districts. The surrounding streets are dotted with vintage shops, laid-back trattorias and buzzing dive bars – though all the landmarks are within easy reach with a metro station and tram stops nearby. We love the sunlit living space – made even brighter by the yellow paint – as well as the two well-sized bedrooms. It's a lively area, and the apartment is above one of the neighbourhood's late-night spots. We think it's a better fit for guests who don't mind a bit of noise. *This home is above a bar that’s open quite late. The area is also very lively, so noise is likely. We suggest packing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. *The building has a lift, but there may be some stairs to climb.
