The exposed stone walls, timber beams and old lifeboat oars add a coastal cosiness to the living space – we loved relaxing beneath the vaulted ceilings, tucked up on the sofa with a hot mug of tea after a long walk through the countryside. Enjoy a spot of lunch together at the dining table before throwing on your sunhat and taking the twenty-minute amble down to Caerfai Beach. At low tide, there are rock pools for searching and shallows for paddling in.
